Garza Tank-Shoves, Costnazo Snap-Folds

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Catching the action on a 229109 board, Matthew Costanzo added 100,000 to the pot of 350,000 from the big blind. Lou Garza was deep in thought, using some of his time banks before he shoved all in for 420,000.

Constanzo instantly threw his cards into the muck, conceding the pot to the two-time bracelet winner.

Three ways to a 2510 flop with 145,000 in the middle, PJ Cha moved all in for 38,000 from the big blind. Alex Foxen called in middle position, and the third player folded.

PJ Cha: AAKK All in
Alex Foxen: J1087

The J turn saw Foxen take the lead with two pair, and the Q river improved him further to a flush, confirming Cha's elimination.

More for Garza in Two Hands

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Lou Garza raised to 35,000 and was then three-bet to 120,000 by Klemens Roiter in the next seat, which got everyone out of the pot.

Garza then made it 35,000 again for Alan Reyf and David Benyamine to call. On the 1062 flop, Garza bet the pot when checked to and took it down.

In the next hand, Garza ended up all-in and at risk on the QJ3 flop against Gruffudd Pugh-Jones for 233,000.

Lou Garza: Q1053 All in
Gruffudd Pugh-Jones: AKJ10

The K turn improved Pugh-Jones to the nut straight, but Garza spiked the Q river for queens full of treys to double.

Yang Loses Small to Juhasz, Knocks Out O'Dea

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Eoghan O'Dea
Eoghan O'Dea

After two limps, Benjamin Juhasz made it 55,000 to go in the hijack. Only Chongxian Yang called, and he was in early position.

Juhasz then continued for 30,000 on the J28 flop. Yang check-called, after which the 9 hit the turn. Yang checked again, but this time he folded as Juhasz fired 125,000 more into the pot.

The next hand, Yang limped in under the gun. Eoghan O'Dea raised to 45,000 in the cutoff, and Stephen Chidwick called in the big blind. Yang also came along, and the action checked to O'Dea on the K74 flop.

He moved all in for 119,000, quickly folding out Chidwick. Yang looked up his opponent, however, revealing the cards.

Eoghan O'Dea: AA85 All in
Chongxian Yang: K665

Yang had top pair and a straight draw, and he gained a flush draw on the 4 turn. The K river upgraded him to trips, cracking the aces of O'Dea to send the Irishman to the rail.

Seiver Doubles Through Tong

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Scott Seiver
Scott Seiver

Josh Arieh limped in under the gun, and Scott Seiver raised to 45,000 on the button. Kristopher Tong made it 85,000 in the small blind, which removed Arieh from the equation. Seiver responded by moving all in for 148,000, and Tong called.

Scott Seiver: AA108 All in
Kristopher Tong: QQ109

Tong picked up plenty of extra outs on the K96 flop, and a few more on the 8 turn, which gave him the possibility of a chop. Alas, the 3 river was a brick, and Seiver had his double-up.

Small Pots for Simao and Lahmani

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

In a three-way limped pot to the 863 flop, Brevin Andreadis and David Wang checked out of the blinds. David Wang bet 13,000 from under the gun and Andreadis was the only caller. That led them to the J turn which was checked, as was the J river.

Andreadis tabled his 8544 and Simao held the superior kicker in AQ87.

One hand later, Oshri Lahmani potted to 35,000 and Simao defended the big blind. The A98 flop saw Simao check-fold to a bet of 60,000 by Lahmani.

Usterud Bluffs with Best Hand

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Blinds Youness Barakat and Stian Usterud had created a pot of 240,000 when they saw the 98Q43 river.

Barakat checked to Usterud, who bet 90,000. Barakat spent a while in the tank, using two time extensions before he called.

"Good call," Usterud claimed as he sheepishly tabled AQJ3 for two pair. Barakat could not beat it, however, and he added his cards to the muck.

Updated Counts Table 86

Level 14 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Ian Matakis made it 35,000 to go in middle position and was called only by Robert Cowen on the button. Both players opted to check down the Q77 flop and 2 turn before the J river completed the board.

Matakis bet 30,000, and that was enough to force a fold from Cowen. The latter is one of three players with a seven-figure stack at that table.
