Negreanu "Didn't Do the Thing"

Level 15 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Multi ways to the 1094 flop, only Daniel Negreanu in the big blind check-called a bet of 40,000 by Chongxian Yang from under the gun. They both checked the 9 on the turn, and the 7 came on the river.

Negreanu checked again, and Yang made it 225,000 to go, after which Negreanu virtually patted himself on the back via table chat and exclaimed he "didn't do the thing" and only lost 80,000 instead of his entire stack.

Frank Crosses Million-Mark

Level 15 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Ka Kwan Lau, Santhosh Suvarna, and Christopher Frank were on the 54J flop. Lau tossed in a bet of 55,000 from early position, which Suvarna and Frank both called, sitting in the cutoff and on the button, respectively.

The 9 turn then checked to Frank, who bet 165,000. Lau immediately folded, but Suvarna was interested in a river and called.

He then checked again on the 6 river. Frank fired a bet of 400,000, and Suvarna tossed his cards into the muck after spending a time bank.

Matakis Gives It Up

Level 15 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

With 130,000 in the pot, Ian Matakis checked from the cutoff on a K9106 board. Levon Khachatryan bet 50,000 on the button, and Matakis check-raised to 280,000, which Khachatryan called.

The 10 completed the board, and Matakis thought long and hard on how to proceed, ultimately choosing to check. Khachatryan checked behind and tabled the winning hand with his 9875 for a straight after Matakis revealed his KJJ8.

One hand later, David Wang limped the small blind, and Joao Simao checked his option to the A53 flop. Wang bet 12,000 but folded when Simao raised it to 38,000.

How to Avoid Tilt in Poker

WSOP Cards

Poker is often described as a game of skill, psychology, and patience. Yet for many players, the toughest opponent they face is not the player across the table, but their own emotional state. Few concepts illustrate this better than tilt.

Tilt is responsible for countless blown sessions, early tournament exits, unnecessary bankroll damage, and talented players quitting the game altogether. Understanding what tilt is, why it happens, and how to control it is one of the most important steps a poker player can take toward long-term improvement.

Joining the action on the 6635 turn, Artur Martirosian made it 45,000 to go from the small blind. Jeremy Druckman called in middle position, and then Arthur Morris, in the next seat, asked for the size of the pot before he made it 335,000 to go.

Martirosian folded, and Druckman pushed all in for 816,000 total.

Morris grabbed his available time bank extensions, of which he had five left, and used three of them before grabbing his raise, putting it right on top of Druckman's stack and sending his own cards into the muck.

"I had the straight and nut flush draw with four-seven," Morris murmured in table chat.
