Max Pain, Neugebauer in the Blender

Level 15 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Adam Monaghan raised to 42,000 in the cutoff, and Max Neugebauer three-bet to 148,000 on the button. The action folded back to Monaghan, who opted to four-bet, announcing a pot-sized raise, which was enough to put Neugebauer all in.

Neugebauer toiled over a decision, burning through three time extensions before choosing to fold.

Level 15 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Geoffrey Mooney limped in under the gun, and James Obst raised to 54,000 on the button. Stephen Chidwick then three-bet all in for 140,000 from the small blind. Mooney folded, but Obst called.

Stephen Chidwick: AA64 All in
James Obst: KK85

Things were looking good for Chidwick as the JQ4 flop and 6 turn left Obst needing a king or a seven to win. Obst got exactly what he wanted, though, as the dealer burned and turned the K, to send Chidwick crashing to the rail.

Defending Champion Busts Before Money

Level 15 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Dennis Weiss
Dennis Weiss

Under the gun, Dennis Weiss checked the 787 flop to David Benyamine in the next seat over. Benyamine bet 36,000, which Manuel Fischer called on the button.

Weiss then put in his stack of roughly 200,000, folding out Benyamine. Fischer snap-called, and the players revealed their holdings.

Dennis Weiss: A754 All in
Manuel Fischer: A874

Fischer had flopped a full house, leaving Weiss drawing to a chop. Neither the 10 turn nor the K river brought an ace, sending Weiss out about a dozen spots away from the money.

Kornuth Trending Down

Level 15 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

In a small pot of 48,000, small blind Dylan Smith led out with a bet of 12,000 on the completed 29Q102 board. Big blind Chance Kornuth then raised to 70,000, putting Eelis Parssinen on the button in the tank.

After one time bank, Parssinen mucked. Smith grabbed calling chips and dropped them in for Kornuth to announce he just had a deuce.

Smith then tabled A10J8 for a flush, awarding him the pot.

On the next deal, it folded to Kornuth in the small blind. He raised to 36,000, but quickly gave up when Nino Pansier three-bet to 108,000 in the big blind.

Table big stack Barrett Threadgill then limped the cutoff and Jeffrey Hakim came along in the small blind. Stian Usterud checked from the big blind to the KQ6 flop. Hakim and Usterud checked to Threadgill and his bet of 40,000 won the pot right there.

"I thought this was a friendly game here," Usterud exclaimed.

The big pile of chips was added to the side pot, after which the 6 turn was dealt. Martinez announced a pot-sized bet, but Lau immediately folded for the others to show down.

Jonathan Azoulay: AKxQx6 All in
Sergio Martinez Gonzalez: QQ98

The river fell the meaningless 2x as Azoulay was already drawing dead, and Gonzalez was shipped the gargantuan pot to lead the field by a mile.

Lou Garza raised to 42,000 from the cutoff, and David Benyamine called in the big blind.

Benyamine didn't stand on ceremony on the 796 flop, leading out for 30,000. Garza, with just 152,000 behind, considered his options with the tournament so close to the bubble, ultimately choosing to fold.
