Vogelsang Chips Up With the Nuts

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Heads-up to the K437 turn, Richard Gryko checked his option out of the blinds and then called a bet worth 77,000 by Tom Vogelsang. That led them to the 9 river, on which Gryko checked again. Vogelsang now made it 240,000 to go, and that sent his opponent deep into the tank.

Two time bank extensions later, Gryko placed a single chip for the call but couldn't beat Vogelsang's AAJJ for the nut flush.

Krentzman Takes Out Tang

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Evan Krentzman raised to 21,000 in middle position. Philip Marsico called in the cutoff before Danny Tang three-bet to 90,000 from the small blind. Krentzman and Marsico both called.

The flop fell K82. Tang quickly pushed in his remaining stack of 88,000. Krentzman called, while Marsico folded.

Danny Tang: AA73 All in
Evan Krentzman: AK108

Krentzman had flopped two pair and officially cracked Tang's aces when the 76 runout did not help him.

The tournament clock has been paused with ten minutes of the level to go, in preparation for the late registration closing.

The players will see five more hands before going on a 15-minute break.

Upon their return from the break, late registration will officially be closed, and the tables will be redrawn.

Dudley Eliminated by Vogelsang

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

With some 200,000 in the middle to the K77 flop, Dash Dudley in the small blind made it 28,000 to go, and Tom Vogelsang called in the cutoff. On the 5 turn, Dudley pushed all in and was snapped off by Vogelsang within a fraction of a second.

Dash Dudley: AAK4 All in
Tom Vogelsang: KK107

Dudley needed an ace and an ace only against the flopped full house of Vogelsang and found no help on the 6 river.

"Did you like the flop?" Yuri Dzivielevski asked.

Vogelsang replied, "I didn't like the small bet; I was hoping for a jam."

No Cheap Pot for Foxen

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Alex Foxen limped in on the button, and Max Neugebauer did the same in the small blind before Ian Matakis checked in the big blind.

When the action checked to Foxen, he bet 16,000 on the J76 flop. Neugebauer called, but Matakis folded.

The board-pairing J was added to the board, and Neugebauer opted to lead out for 27,000. That did the trick, as Foxen tossed his cards towards the muck.

Pavel Plesuv limped in from middle position. Hani Mio and Yuri Dzivielevski followed suit in the hijack and on the button, respectively, before Chongxian Yang raised to 36,000 in the small blind.

Plesuv and Mio called, but Dzivielevski had other plans and three-bet all in to 64,000. Yang called, and Plesuv and Mio did the same.

Yang then bet 120,000 on the 10102 flop. Pavel Plesuv quickly called all in, while Mio had seen enough and mucked his cards.

Yuri Dzivielevski: 9663 All in
Pavel Plesuv: K764 All in
Chongxian Yang: AAQ5

Yang's aces-up had a big lead with the nut flush redraw as well, and he made trip fives on the 55 runout to secure the pot and send two opponents out.

Do Fires All Three

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The action was joined with roughly 70,000 already in the pot, and a A67 flop on the felt. Youness Barakat checked in the small blind, Carlo van Ravenswoud checked in the big, and Anh Do bet 27,000 from the cutoff. Barakat called, but Van Ravenswoud folded.

Barakat check-called another bet of 123,000 on the Q turn, and the A completed the board.

When Barakat checked for a third time, Do loaded up a bet of 240,000 and slid it into the pot. His final bet was enough to claim the pot, as Barakat surrendered, returning his cards to the dealer.
