Smith Sends Winter to the Rail

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Sean Winter
Sean Winter

By the time the board showed 43355, Dylan Smith made it 250,000 to go. He was up against Sean Winter from under the gun, who had 181,000 behind and was visibly confused. Five time banks later, Winter called all-in and asked Smith if he had the nut flush.

Smith tabled his 9875 for trip fives only, but it was good enough to score the knockout, as Winter only had AK103 for flopped trip treys.

"Not sure I wanted the call there," Smith smirked, with a big grin on his face, to Eelis Pärssinen in the next seat.

"Good value-bet," Oliver Weis chimed in from the other side of the table.

Jim Collopy

Jim Collopy was already all-in and at risk preflop before Affif Prado then got the last 28,000 in against Oliver Weis on the K65 flop to create the following showdown.

Jim Collopy: AJ1010 All in
Affif Prado: 9876 All in
Oliver Weis: JJ97

The 3 turn kept Collopy ahead but the 9 river improved Prado to the nine-high straight, ensuring a near triple up for the Brazilian.

Ivey Gets the Better of Glaser

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Phil Ivey limped in from the small blind, and Benny Glaser checked in the big blind.

Ivey check-called a bet of 8,000 on the 64A flop, and check-called another on the 7 turn, this time for 28,000.

The 8 completed the board, and Ivey opted to take over the betting lead, putting 75,000 into the pot. Glaser thought it through and chose to fold.

Yang Drags Five-Way Pot

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

James Obst raised to 16,000 in middle position. Daniel Negreanu called in the hijack, Stephen Chidwick did so in the cutoff, and Chongxian Yang followed suit on the button.

Benjamin Juhasz tossed in defending chips in the big blind, after which the 9K7 flop was fanned. It checked to Obst, who continued with a pot-sized bet of 92,000. Yang was the only caller.

The 8 turn slowed Obst down. He checked it over to Yang, who bet 276,000 after spending two time banks. Obst did not want to continue the hand, and he folded his cards to surrender the pot.

"All-In for the Bracelet" ... Not

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

In a three-bet pot preflop, Martin Kabrhel announced, "all-in for the bracelet," and several bystanders glanced over to see what was happening. There was no all-in yet to the 764 flop, on which Sean Rafael then pushed all in for 137,000 into a pot of 154,000.

"How much is it?" Kabrhel inquired and then folded, mentioning he let go of the low end of the straight and no redraw.

Straight Flush for Do, Tondato Left Short

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Anh Do
Anh Do

With 68,000 in the pot, Anh Do checked from the big blind on a 6J7 flop. Leandro Tondato bet 50,000 on the button, which Do called.

The 8 turn saw Do check again, once again calling when Tondato barrelled for 75,000.

Do opted to lead out on the 8 river, betting 100,000. Tondato called, but was shown bad news. Do tabled Q1095 for a straight flush. Tondato flipped over two of his cards, the A and 3, showing he had turned the ace-high flush, before mucking his hand.

Ding Takes From Cowen

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The only table on the other side of the tournament area saw Biao Ding in the cutoff squeeze to 108,000 and Robert Cowen called in the hijack. That led them to the A77 flop on which Cowen opted to check-call for 40,000.

Cowen checked again the 4 turn and Ding's second barrel was for 85,000. That was enough to claim the pot right there at the exact moment Adam Hendrix walked past the table out of the tournament area.
