Foxen Brings the Heat on Miao

Level 22 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

With many pots being limped preflop, there was a sudden change on their table when Chance Kornuth raised to 200,000. Richard Gryko repotted in the next seat and everyone folded including Kornuth. Gryko then won a limped pot with a successful flop bet.

What followed was a four-way limped pot to the 643 flop. It checked to Alex Foxen and he made it 150,000 to go. Biao Ding called in the cutoff before Chenxiang Miao in the small blind check-raised to 900,000. Jeremy Trojand folded and Foxen then declared a reraise to 3,150,000 to force out Ding.

Miao came to the same conclusion and Foxen raked in the healthy pot without resistance or showdown. "May I see?" Ding asked and Foxen just smirked this time without revealing anything.

"Six six five," Kornuth guessed as per the table chat.

Sergio Martinez Gonzalez raised to 210,000 in the hijack, and Hani Mio called on the button.

When the dealer flipped over a A102 flop, Martinez Gonzalez slid a stack of purple 100,000 chips into the middle, enough to cover Mio's remaining 490,000 stack. Mio moved all in, and the cards were revealed.

Hani Mio: AJ98 All in
Sergio Martinez Gonzalez: AQ65

Both players improved to trips on the A turn, but crucially, Martinez Gonzalez was still in the lead with his kicker.

The 8 river improved Mio to a full house, though, as he let out a very loud "Yes!" across the room, before scooping in yet another double up.

Gryko Doubles Off Kornuth

Level 22 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Eelis Parssinen raised to 210,000 from under the gun and was called by Biao Ding in the next seat, Alex Foxen defended the big blind. Foxen led the 532 flop for 180,000 and both his opponents folded.

Foxen grabbed two of his cards and tossed the 22 to the other side of the table where Ding wasn't paying attention. Chenxiang Miao pointed out to him that Foxen had shown the deuces.

"I tried to show for you Ding," Foxen said and then added "ace queen deuce deuce double suit".

Another player then asked Ding "didn't you play ace nine four from under the gun earlier?" to which Ding replied "double suit".

Chance Kornuth then limped the cutoff and Foxen did so from the small blind, Pärssinen in the big blind checked. They checked to the A6410 turn on which Foxen checked again. Pärssinen bet 175,000 and Kornuth called, Foxen folded. The 6 river was checked and Pärssinen revealed the J986 for a flush to win the pot.

Kornuth's next raise was repotted to 720,000 by Richard Gryko in a duel hijack versus cutoff, Kornuth called. On the Q43 flop, the remaining chips went in with Gryko at risk for 580,000.

Richard Gryko: KKJ7 All in
Chance Kornuth: AK75

Kornuth had some outs but the 3 turn was not among them, nor was the K river which improved Gryko further to kings full of treys.

Matthew Costanzo

Matthew Costanzo raised to 210,000 from under the gun, which Hani Mio called in middle position. Joao Simao then three-bet to 930,000 from the hijack. When the action folded back to Costanzo, he committed his 545,000 stack into the middle, and Mio opted to call the three-bet as well.

Mio checked on the 566 flop, but folded when Simao bet 400,000, leaving Mio with just 340,000.

Matthew Costanzo: QJJ8 All in
Joao Simao: KK105

Costanzo was drawing very thin, and the 9 turn left him with just two outs to survive. The deck helped him out, though, as the J rolled off on the river, seeing him survive with a full triple up.

Yockey Calls Off Against Khachatryan's Boat

Level 22 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Heads-up on a flop of A33, Bryce Yockey bet 140,000 from under the gun and Levon Khachatryan raised to 440,000 in the cutoff. Yockey called, and the J fell on the turn.

Khachatryan then bet 1,450,000, and Yockey used up four time banks before calling. Khachatryan turned over AQ32 before the table reminded him that Yockey had only just called.

"It doesn't matter, the hand is over," Yockey said as he tossed AK52 onto the table. The dealer then confirmed that Yockey had less than Khachatryan's bet before turning over the 4 river, and Yockey was sent to the rail.

Level 22 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Bryce Yockey limped in from early position, and Steven Sarmiento did the same in the hijack. Levon Khachatryan raised to 330,000 on the button, which both limpers called.

Playing in flow, Yockey and Sarmiento both checked on the 3A4 flop, and Khachatryan continued for 425,000. That was enough to see both players fold, as Khachatryan's hot start to the day continued.
