Heads-up play between Thomas Eychenne in the big blind and Joao Coelho in cutoff was already underway with 400,000 in the pot beside a flop of K♣6♠Q♣.

On the river J♣, Coelho shoved all-in for more than 3,000,000 after action was checked to him. Eychenne, who only had around 100,000 behind, looked up at the ceiling visibly frustrated. He went into the tank mulling over his next move.
He finally made the call and got on his feet ready to leave. He turned his hand over to show J♠10♥ which couldn't beat Coelho's flopped pair with A♠Q♥.
Players were heads up and on the J♣5♣A♣4♦ board with Paul Hoefer in the cut off and Abhishek Mhatre in the big blind. The pot stood at around 500,000 and Hofer bet 520,000 and Mhatre called.

On the table across Martin Jacobson had just secured a double up after openeing to 375,000 from under the gun. He was faced with a jam from Christopher Vitch in the small blind who covered him by 790,000 and Jacobson called off his remaining stack, putting himself at risk of elimination.

Anthony Spinella in cutoff opened to 100,000 and David Miscikowski on the button called.
The flop came 3♥3♣5♠. Spinella check-raised Miscikowski 80,000 bet to 285,000. Miscikowski though for a second before calling to see the turn,
Spinella shoved all-in for 530,000 on the K♥ turn sending Miscikowski to the tank. After a minute, Miscikowski called putting Spinalla's tournament life at risk.

After some raising back and forth, Brandon Sheils' stack of 1,550,000 got into the middle preflop from the cutoff with David Miscikowski trying to bust him from the big blind.
