Adam Owen
Adam Owen

Adam Owen's last 29,000 was in the middle from under the gun, and Kosuke Miyoshi was also all in from middle position. Julien Duveau had them both covered in the cutoff, and made the call.

Adam Owen: K6 All in
Kosuke Miyoshi: AJ All in
Julien Duveau: 1010

Duveau's pocket pair remained in front on the 583 flop, while Owen picked up outs on the 6 turn. The dealer revealed the 6 river, giving Owen trip sixes to stay alive. Duveau's pair held for the side pot, sending Miyoshi to the rail.

Starostin Shows Boat Over Boat

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

As hand-for-hand play continued, Ivan Starostin and Steven Karp traded a bet and call of 25,000 on the 599 flop and both checked the A turn.

Karp led out for 52,000 in the big blind on the 2 river and Starostin raised to 143,000, leaving just a single yellow 1,000 chip behind.

Karp took some time before sticking in a call, and the dealer counted both stacks to verify if Karp was at risk. After confirming that Karp still had chips behind, the tournament director instructed both hands to be tabled.

Starostin showed AA for aces full of nines, while Karp tabled A9 for nines full of aces. Starostin virtually doubled up, while Karp was left with 20,000 chips.

Douglas Doubles on the Bubble

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Shawn Puri raised to 12,000 from late position only for Matthew Blagg to three-bet to 40,000 from the cutoff. Action came to Ronald Douglas in the small blind who moved all in for his last 37,000. Puri exited stage left quickly.

Ronald Douglas: AA All in
Matthew Blagg: A7

Douglas was pretty much home and dry on the 31010 flop and when the K peeled off on the turn it was done and dusted. The irrelevant 6 came on the river to seal the deal and Douglas was shipped the pot for a much needed double up.

Brandon Sunshine: 52All in

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On the second round of hand-for-hand play, four players were all in and at risk at separate tables, and all of them resulted in double ups.

At one of the tables, Wenhao Ying opened to 13,000 first to act and was three-bet to 33,000 by Johnathan Cuevas on the button. Maksim Tatarintsev moved all in for his last 112,000 from the big blind, which got a fold from Ying and a call from Cuevas.
