Rivera Finds Quads and Doubles Through Nichols

Steven Nichols opened to 200,000 from early position and Alexis Rivera moved all in from the big blind for their entire 1,470,000 stack. Nichols made a quick call and the pair flipped their hands.

Rivera was looking to hold and the low 293 flop was good for him and he improved to a set of nines.

The 7 turn and 9 river locked him up the double.

Action was picked up with Rodolfo Puentes and Andy Chen had both their cards and chips in the middle of the table.

Puentes was ahead with the 94J flop but Chen had more outs to improve. Chen was pushed ahead when the 3 turn completed his flush leaving Puentes to dry. The dealer completed the board with a 6 river sending Puentes to hit the rails.

Too Many Outs for Saad

Taylor Maas opened to 200,000 on the button. Daniel Saad shoved for around 425,000 from the small blind, and Maas made the call.

The 3Q10 flop gave Saad an open-ender with backdoor diamonds, but the 10 turn gave him one less street with which to get there. The 3 river sealed his elimination, as Saad increased his chip lead over the table.

Bloody Lu Gets Punched

Joshua Pridgen raised all in from the cutoff with 700,000 chips. Yunye Lu, who was on the button, made the call.

Pridgen needed help and he he got it in a runout of 6JK108, flopping a gutshot to a Broadway straight and getting there on the turn.

To add injury to the suckout that cracked his pocket aces, the tournament director forced Lu to leave the table for a time because of a bloody nose.

Blagg Removes One, Nearly Two

Jonathan McCann raised to 200,000 in early position and faced an all-in from Amadeus Janotta in the small blind for 2,060,000. Matthew Blagg then moved all in from the big blind, putting his 2,045,000 in the pot, and McCann made the call with his 1,700,000.

The three-way cooler spelt the end for McCann on a 38465 board, while leaving Janotta with less than half a small blind.

Li Surrenders his Hand

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Yuan Li in the big blind and Jonathan Wolter in late position already built a pot of 400,000 when the flop dropped 106K. Li check-called Wolter's bet of 150,000 to see the next card.

The turn 9 fell and Li checked once again. Wolter fired another 275,000 sending Li to the tank. He took sometime mulling over his action but ultimately gave up his hand and conceded the pot to Wolter.

Kampen Crushed on River

Elliott Kampen moved all in from middle position with 180,000. Ilan Boujenah made the call from the seat next to him, and Maxime Manzone did likewise from the big blind.

The flop hit A36. Boujenah bet, Manzone folded.

Kampen was in outstanding shape with a pair of aces on the flop, then the 4 turn gave him a straight draw as well.

But the river wasn't kind, as the 7 landed, to give Boujenah a set of sevens for the win.
