Marcos Da Silva was automatically all-in from the big blind for his last 100,000. Surprisingly, it folded all the way to the small blind, Guillermo Marquez, who was already in for 100,000.
Marcos Da Silva: K♥7♦
Guillermo Marquez: 5♣2♠
The board brought Da Silva the world with A♦6♦3♣K♠K♣, and trip kings won the pot.
Marquez queried, "Do I have an option to fold there?"
Johnny Oshana made it 400,000 to play from early position and found calls from Barbara Enright on the button and Chi Chan in the big blind.
The flop came A♣2♠K♦ and Chan checked to Oshana who continued for 400,000 only for Enright to raise to 800,000. Chan folded quickly and Oshana made the call.
The players checked down the 10♣ turn as they did the 3♥ river. Oshana tabled A♥7x and scooped the pot when Enright mucked her cards.
Noah Harthcock and Bryce Allen got it all in preflop from the cutoff and button respectively. Allen had the bigger stack, as well as the better hand.
Noah Harthcock: A♣3♠
Bryce Allen: Q♣Q♦
The ladies of Allen were immediately knocked down a peg as the 6♦K♠A♠ flop was dealt, firing Harthcock into the lead. Neither the K♥ turn nor the 3♦ river were any help, as the two effectively traded stack sizes.
Allen was eliminated shortly after.
Billy Kurniawan open-jammed all in for 850,000 from early position and was looked up by Guillermo Marquez on the button. The blinds folded quickly.
Billy Kurniawan: A♥Q♣
Guillermo Marquez: 10♥10♦
Not the door card Kurniawan wanted to see on the 10♣6♥3♣ flop and when the 8♥ peeled off on the turn he was drawing dead. The 7♦ came on the river to seal the deal and Kurniawan was sent to the rail.
Action was picked up with Said El Harrak shoving from early position, and Michael Muffoletto calling on the button to put him at risk.
Said El Harrak: J♥J♠
Michael Muffoletto: A♣3♣
The 8♣Q♣6♦ flop was one that El Harrak didn't want to see, as he now had to fade clubs as well as aces. However, he managed to do so as the Q♥4♥ runout secured him the double.
On the brink of a pay jump, players were taking their time on each decision. Michael Starek was sitting in early position and requested some time to make a decision.
He requested a count of Nicholas French's chips, who was in the big blind, and after he raised to 400,000, he stated, "I'm only doing it to get your bounty." French was sitting on a short stack and announced before the hand began that he was a bounty.
Action folded around to French, who stated, "I'm going to need some time." French called.
Nicholas French: Q♥10♥
Michael Starek: A♦A♣
The board was 7♣3♠K♥10♠6♥ and aces won.
Starek chuckled, "Don't forget to say how well I played those aces."
Gaetan Balleur opened to 1,100,000 from the cutoff, leaving just 75,000 behind. Brian Brackett then made it 2,000,000 to go from the small blind, and Balleur began to tank on a pay jump. A player was eliminated at another table, and Balleur called off.
Gaetan Balleur: A♥8♠
Brian Brackett: 8♥8♦
It was bad news for Balleur, and the best sweat that he got was chop outs on the 7♥5♦9♥ flop. The 7♦K♣ runout left him with nothing, apart from the $400 he earned for his brief pause.
