Mateos Can't Spring the Trap

Level 1 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

In a three-bet pot between Adrian Mateos (under the gun) and Liv Boeree (cutoff), action was on Boeree on a {K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. The Brit bet 65,000 and Mateos check-called. Both players checked the {8-Clubs} on the turn and {10-Spades} on the river.

Mateos showed {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} for jacks full and Boeree mucked. Both players laughed about it after the hand.

Dietrich Fast has lost the remainder of his chips as well and became the second casualty of the day. Fast is still hanging around the tournament area and can opt to reenter if he desires.

Reentries are €100,000 each, as the €11,111 ONE DROP share won't be charged on any subsequent buy-ins.

Update: Fast has indeed jumped right back in and has a fresh 2 million in chips to work with.

Flush-Over-Flush Fatal for Neuville

Level 2 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Pierre Neuville
Pierre Neuville

Pierre Neuville came in with a raise from the hijack and Jens Lakemeier called on the button. The {K-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Spades} flop prompted a 70,000 bet from the Belgian and Lakemeier called.

On the {8-Clubs} turn, Neuville bet 130,000, Lakemeier raised to 465,000, Neuville went all in for 1,505,000 and Lakemeier snap-called.

Pierre Neuville: {7-Spades}{6-Spades}
Jens Lakemeier: {A-Spades}{8-Spades}

The flush-over-flush situation left the 2015 November Niner drawing dead, rendering the {Q-Hearts} on the river moot. Neuville made his way to the exit while Lakemeier jumped over 4 million.

Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Martin Kabrhel limped in from under the gun and there was a raise to 45,000 from middle position. The button called and Kabrhel tanked for over a minute. The clock was called and Kabrhel eventually re-raised to 266,000. The initial raiser folded and the button called.

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Kabrhel led out for 150,000. His opponent made the call and the {j-Hearts} landed on the turn. Kabrhel fired 500,000 and finally forced his opponent to fold. After the hand, Kabrhel voiced his displeasure to the floorman that the clock was called on him.

Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

On a flop of {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, Liv Boeree was on the button and faced with a bet of 37,000 from her opponent in the cutoff. She made the call and the {q-Spades} landed on the turn.

The cutoff fired another 155,000 and Boeree stuck around to see the {j-Hearts} on the river. Her opponent bet 325,000 and Boeree sat with her hand covering her face. She thought for a minute and then tossed in a chip to call. Her opponent slid his cards to the muck and the pot was shipped to Boeree without having to table her cards.

Patrik Antonius
Patrik Antonius

Some big names that were expected to make an appearance for this €100,000 event have finally arrived and taken their seats. Bryn Kenney, who is ranked #1 on the GPI and having an incredible 2017 thus far, has returned after making a deep run in the €25,000 High Roller.

Fedor Holz has been steamrolling his competition in these high-roller tournaments for quite some time now and he is only 24 years old. Holz won his first WSOP gold bracelet in 2016 in the $111,111 High Roller for One Drop and will be looking to add a second title to his name.

Mateos Shoves on Kenney

Level 2 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

After already substantial action preflop, Bryn Kenney (cutoff) and Adrian Mateos (button) saw the {4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop together. Kenney checked, Mateos bet 155,000 and Kenney called. On the {J-Clubs} turn, Kenney checked, Mateos bet 510,000 and Kenney called again.

The river was the {9-Spades} and Kenney checked a third time. Mateos emptied the clip and fired a third barrel worth his remaining stack of 1,230,000, almost all of Kenney's remaining chips as well. The American exhaled, talked to himself and took around a minute to come to a conclusion. He took a sip from his water, then folded his hand.

Mateos smiled at his neighbor and showed {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} as he took down the pot.
