Simon Burns had saved on the expenses and shipped an entry to the Main Event in a satellite earlier today and late-registered for Day 1b. He got dealt an interesting table draw with Dario Sammartino, Yake Wu, and Pierre Mothes, and Bartlomiej Machon also showed up.
Sammartino raised to 2,500, which was called by Mothes in the hijack and Burns on the button. Machon in the big blind made it 14,000 to go and Burns was the only caller. Pmn a flop of 
, Machon continued for 8,500 and Burns called but a second barrel of 26,000 on the 
turn did the trick to force a fold from Burns.
Christopher Putz raised in the cutoff to 2,200 and it was called by Mehrzad Moadeli and Federico Anselmi in the blinds.
