Hrabec Halts Schumacher's Run

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Yannick Schumacher
Yannick Schumacher

The action folded to the short-stacked Yannick Schumacher in the small blind, and he went all in for his final 20,000 chips. Roman Hrabec made the call from the big blind and the cards were tabled.

Yannick Schumacher: K5
Roman Hrabec: K10

Schumacher was dominated, but that would soon change on the 2745 board. However, his turned pair of fives was rivered by the 10, which brought Hrabec the higher pair.

Schumacher raced out of the tournament area while Hrabec stacked up some more chips. Adrian Mateos is also at this table and has known a solid grind so far on Day 2, sitting on nearly 100 big blinds.

Keating Eliminates Melchers in Huge Confrotation

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Alex Keating
Alex Keating

Arriving on a turn on 8A6K, Alex Keating shoved in his stack of 350,000 from the hijack, in a pot that had already grown to a massive size of 125,000.

Dorian Melchers was his opponent and sat in the cutoff. Melchers played around 300,000 himself and was deep in the tank regarding this decision. Eventually, he pushed in all of his chips, and the two hands were revealed.

Dorian Melchers: A5
Alex Keating: 88

Keating's set was up against the flush draw of Melchers. The river was red, but the 7 was not the suit Melchers was looking for. He was eliminated from the Main Event in an enormous clash that saw Keating chip up to three times the average stack.
