Sirzat Hissou

The second and final day of Event #12: €50,000 NLH Diamond High Roller is scheduled to resume to at 2 p.m. local time here at King's Resort in Rozvadov. Sirzat Hissou found himself at the top of the tree, bagging a stack of 3,435,000. He leads a current field of 13, a field that could still grow as late registration is open until the end of Level 14.

In second is Daniel Rezaei with a stack of 3,365,000. Third is Martin Kabrhel, who joined the field later into the days play. Nevertheless he still bagged a stack of 2,155,000.

Other notable names took to the felt but couldn't bag a stack for Day 2. Niklas Astedt ran his Big Slick into Hissou's pocket kings and was sent to the rail. Boris Angelov fired a bullet but was also unsuccessful. Kristen Foxen was eliminated by Hissou, but she fired a second bullet and has a stack for Day 2. Online crushers Viktor Blom and Roman Hrabec were also unsuccessful but it wouldn't be a surprise to see some of the fallen players retake to the felt today.

Play resumes at Level 13 with the blinds at 20,000/40,000 with a 40,000 big blind ante. Levels last 40 minutes each and the tournament will be played down to a conclusion today where the winner will take home a gold WSOPE bracelet.

As always, stay tuned to PokerNews for continued coverage of this event and more from here in Rozvadov.

Sirzat Hissou
Sirzat Hissou

Viktor Blom opened from the button to 85,000. Orpen Kisacikoglu moved all in from the small blind for 675,000. Blom called and had Kisacikoglu covered.

Orpen Kisacikoglu: QQAll in
Viktor Blom: A10

Kisacikoglu made a flush across the monotone K91087 runout to secure the double up.

The very next hand. Viktor Blom was all in from the cutoff for around 350,000. Alex Foxen reraised all in for around 830,000. Sirzat Hissou then called and had both players covered.

Viktor Blom: 55All in
Alex Foxen: AKAll in
Sirzat Hissou: AQ

Hissou hit two pair on the flop of QA2 and held across the 8 turn and 6 river to score a double knockout. Like the Terminator, Foxen said "i'll be back" as he left the tournament area, presumably to the rebuy desk. Blom instantly rebought into the event.

Tsoukernik Ousts Dvoress

Level 13 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Daniel Dvoress
Daniel Dvoress

Daniel Dvoress moved all in for around 450,000 first to act. Leon Tsoukernik rejammed for 855,00 from the cutoff. The button and small blind folded, ahead of Salih Atac flashing the A before ditching his hand.

This left Dvoress drawing to two immediate outs as he tabled A10. Tsoukernik was ahead with JJ.

The drama-free K6247 runout kept the jacks in front and Dvoress exited the tournament room.

On the feature table, Besim Hot's seat was empty as he was unable to spin up his short stack.

Blom Busts Foxen and Dvoress

Level 14 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Viktor Blom
Viktor Blom

Kristen Foxen moved all in from the hijack before Viktor Blom reshoved for 680,000 from the cutoff. This folded out the rest of the table and the cards went on their backs.

Kristen Foxen: 66All in
Viktor Blom: KQ

Foxen remained ahead on the A104 flop while Blom picked up a straight draw to accompany his overcards. The 7 turn gave Blom a flush draw, which came in on the J river to seal the checkmark and elimination.

Shortly after, Daniel Dvoress jammed with KQ and Blom reshoved as the slightly bigger stack with A8. Dvoress failed to connect on the runout and left the feature table.

Leon Tsoukernik
Leon Tsoukernik

Leon Tsoukernik opened to 180,000 from under the gun. Orpen Kisacikoglu defended the big blind.

He check-called a bet of 90,000 on the 73A flop before the J was checked around. Both players checked again on the 9 river.

"I have a small ace" declared Tsoukernik as he tabled A5. His small ace bested Kisacikoglu's KK.

The next hand. Sirzat Hissou opened to 80,000 from under the gun. Action folded around to Kisacikoglu in the small blind who called and Tsoukernik completed in the big blind.

The QK5 flop was checked around before Kisacikoglu led for 60,000 on the 10 turn. Tsoukernik folded and Hissou called. The A river saw another lead from Kisacikoglu, this time for 105,000. Hissou flicked in the call.

Kisacikoglu showed J9 for a straight and Hissou showed KK for second set.
