Santhosh Suvarna Wins Event #12 €50,000 NLH Diamond High Roller

Some of the best, brightest, and biggest names are set to take to the felt in Event #12: €50,000 NLH Diamond High Roller here at King's Resort in Rozvadov. The event is scheduled to kick off at 4:15 p.m. local time and features a guaranteed prize pool of €1,000,000.

The players will be looking to follow in the footsteps of last year's winner Santhosh Suvarna, who walked away with a coveted gold bracelet and €650,000 worth of the €1,739,925 prize pool for his efforts. He defeated Ren Lin heads up to secure the bracelet. High roller regulars Daniel Dvoress and Chris Brewer finished in third and fourth respectively.

This is only the third time the tournament has been featured on the WSOPE schedule, and it was Orpen Kisacikoglu who won the first installment in 2022. He beat PokerStars Ambassador Sam Grafton to win €748,106. Shaun Deeb finished third for €313,919.

This event will likely be composed of entrants from Event #8: €25,000 NLH GGMillion€. Champion Alessandro Pichierri could look to register for this event in an attempt to add another bracelet to his collection. Stephen Chidwick and previous winner Kisacikoglu are never too far away from high roller tournaments and are expected to take to the felt.

Players are allowed unlimited reentries into this tournament, and their €50,000 will get them 1,000,000 chips. Blinds will start at 1,000/2,000 with a 2,000 big blind ante. Play today is scheduled to run for fourteen 40-minute levels. Late registration is open until the end of Level 14.

Salih Atac Q♦J♠ opened to 10,000 fromm the hijack before Niklas Astedt K♥Q♥ made it 40,000 from the small blind. Orpen Kisacikoglu K♠K♣ four-bet to 100,000, which folded out Atac. Astedt called to swell the pot to 214,000.

Astedt check-raised to 160,000 on the 8♣3♥2♥ flop after Kisacikoglu continued for 120,000. Kisacikoglu called.

The 4♣ turn kept the kings ahead and action checked through to the 5♠ river, putting a four-liner on the board.

Action checked through to showdown and Kisacikoglu took in the pot.

Angelov, like [Removed:549] the hand before him, went into chek-call mode. He matched wagers of 5,000 and 28,000 on the flop and turn for the final board to read 10♣8♣6♣3♠9♣.

Angelov checked and [Removed:549] bet 60,000. Angelov quickly called and [Removed:549] tabled K♣7♣ for a ten-high straight flush. [Removed:549] voiced some brief frustrations as Angelov flashed the A♣ and he couldn't believe that his opponent didn't raise the river.

Astedt check-called bets of 8,000 and 31,000 for the final board to read [qd7h4h2d89s]. Astedt rivered two pair to seal the checkmark and he checked. Atac fired out 55,000 and quickly called when Astedt made it 300,000.

Astedt tabled his superior hand and he took in the 704,000 pot.

Action was picked up on the flop with 52,000 in the middle. Stephen Chidwick bet 13,000 on the flop of 4♥3♣5♣ after being checked to by Viktor Blom from under the gun and Daniel Dvoress from the hijack.

Blom folded and Dvoress called. Dvoress then check-called a bet of 50,000 on the Q♦ turn. On the Q♥ river, Chidwick used his full 30 seconds before deploying a time bank. He then led for 250,000 and Dvoress called.

Chidwick tabled 7♠6♠ for a straight but was bested by Dvoress's 3♥3♦, which was good for a full house.

Atac check-called for 60,000 on the J♥4♦2♥ flop, and did the same for 240,000 on the 8♠ turn.

With 837,000 in the middle, the K♥ completed the board. Atac, with 324,000 behind, checked for a third time. Foxen waved the white flag and checked behind for the pot to go to her opponent.

Kisacikoglu continued for 20,000 on the K♦Q♠7♠ flop and was called.

The 2♦ came in on the turn, and Kisacikoglu checked. Foxen bet 90,000 and Kisacikoglu called .

The Q♥ river paired and completed the board. Kisacikoglu checked and Foxen bet 340,000, leaving 55,000 behind. Kisacikoglu jammed and Foxen folded.

Kisacikoglu had A♠Q♦ for trips while Foxen was bluffing with A♥J♥.

On the K♣Q♠5♣ flop, Astedt had top set, while Hissou had a flush draw. Kisacikoglu also picked up a gutshot straight draw. Astedt continued for 12,000, folding out Kisacikoglu. Hissou raised to 40,000 and Astedt just called,

Hissou made his flush on the 10♣ turn and checked. Astedt checked behind and the 3♣ river gave Hissou the checkmark but wasn't best card for his hand. Hissou check-called for 60,000 and took in the 245,000 pot.

Foxen was flipping for a triple-up and paired up on the Q♦J♣9♣ flop but remained behind as Atac made a set. The 6♣ turn left Foxen drawing to a straight, but her ten never arrived as the board completed with the 8♥.

Foxen headed to the payout desk and returned to the outer table with a fresh stack.
