Graz was well ahead with his cowboys, but that lead came crashing down on the JA5 flop as Sabishchenko paired his ace. No kings arrived on the 98 runout, and Grax hit the rail.

Last year at King’s Resort, Simone Andrian took down the coveted 2024 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event bracelet and a career-best score of €1,300,000.

Andrian became the 15th player in history to win the WSOPE Main Event, triumphing over a field of 768 entrants. He ultimately defeated Urmo Velvelt in a gripping heads-up duel that lasted over three hours and saw the chip lead change hands multiple times.

“It’s amazing. By far the biggest score of my career. I couldn’t be more happy” he said following his victory. "I’ve been playing here a lot and to have that kind of score here feels special.”

A pot of at least 100,000 had developed by the river, on a board of J4543, in a hand between Roman Krahula in early position and Simone Pegolotti in the big blind.

Pegolotti jammed for around 135,000 with the covering stack, and Krahula, with around 70,000 behind, went into the tank.

After around 90 seconds, Krahula called. Pegolotti flipped over JJ for the full house, and Krahula was off from the table, the dealer flipping his cards to show AA.

Nanos Nullifies Matei

Konstantinos Nanos
Konstantinos Nanos

Nicusor Matei opened to 4,500 from under the gun, and was met with a three-bet to 13,000 from Konstantinos Nanos on the button.

Action folded back to Matei, who four-bet jammed for his 56,500 total stack. Nanos asked for a count and called.

Nicusor Matei; KK All in
Konstantinos Nanos: AQ

Matei was in good shape with cowboys versus a single overcard, and he was still ahead after the Q42 flop, although Nanos picked up top pair.

The 5 turn spelt danger, giving Nanos a flush draw, and the 7 hit on the river to send Matei to the rail.

Matei slammed the table in disgust at his misfortune, and beat a hasty retreat from the tournament area.

El Ouardani Takes From Cohen; Branciforte Sends Out Hissou

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Saif El Ouardani raised to 4,500 in the cutoff, Yosefi Cohen three-bet to 13,500 on the button, and El Ouardani called.

The flop came 1086 and Cohen bet 8,000. El Ouardani then raised to 23,000, and Cohen called.

Both players checked down the 6 turn and 9 river, and El Ouardani showed A10 for two pair to win the pot.

At another table, Sirzat Hissou had moved all in for 40,000 from the button and Vito Branciforte called in the big blind.

Vito Branciforte: 1010

Hissou remained behind going to the river as the board came 9875, but he caught the J on the river and remained in his seat until the dealer pointed out that Branciforte had made a straight. Hissou let out a laugh as he made his way to the exit for the second time today.
