The remaining players are now on a 15-minute break.
The rest of the field had already gone on break while Gal Naim and Patrick White continued to tangle in a pot.
Naim bet 125,000 from middle position on a board of K♠8♣7♥K♣ and White raised to 425,000 in the big blind. Naim called and the J♣ fell on the river.
White then bet 725,000, and Naim snap-called. White showed K♦3♠ for trips, but Naim had Q♣2♣ for a rivered flush to win the big pot.
Roberto Manfredi raised to 160,000, and Laurynas Jakutis then jammed for around 2.4 million, which the Italian called after brief consideration.
Laurynas Jakutis: J♣J♠
Roberto Manfredi: A♥K♠
The Italian leaped ahead with the K♣8♠6♥ flop and retained it thanks to the 8♣ turn and Q♠ river, sending Jakutis to the payout desk right before the break.
Xiaohua Yang moved all in for 800,000 from the button and Eusebiu Jalba called in the big blind.
Xiaohua Yang: 6♠2♠
Eusebiu Jalba: A♥7♦
Yang had been caught making a move, and the K♠Q♥Q♠8♦J♣ board kept Jalba in the lead with his ace to send Yang to the rail.
Andre Ott made it 160,000 under the gun, and Xiaohua Yang called from middle position. Hicham Aouraghe squeezed it to 500,000 from the hijack, and the action folded back around to Ott. Ott, who started the hand with just over two million, opted to four-bet to 1,160,000. Yang folded, and Aouraghe went into the tank.
After Aouraghe thought for quite some time, he five-bet ripped it with the covering stack. Ott instantly called.
Andre Ott: A♠A♣
Hicham Aouraghe: A♥Q♠
Upon seeing Ott's pocket aces, Aouraghe said, "I thought you had kings."
Just before the flop was dealt, Ott's neighbor said he had folded a queen, at which point the dealer burned a card and fanned a flop of Q♣Q♥5♣ to give Aouraghe trip queens, and left Ott needing an ace or running clubs to survive.
The 4♦ turn left Ott had one out, which didn't come as the 9♣ completed the board. Ott headed to the rail in disgust, and Aouraghe said, "Finally, I get lucky."
Kai Vater moved all in for 450,000 in middle position and only Mo Xu called in the hijack.
Kai Vater: 5♣5♦
Mo Xu: A♣J♠
The K♦Q♣4♦ flop gave Xu a straight draw to go with his overcards, but Vater's two fives held on through the 8♥ turn and 2♦ river to earn the double up.
Kai Vater opened to 275,000 from middle position. He was called by Mo Xu in the hijack and by Emad Zarghami in the cutoff.
All three of them checked a flop of 6♦Q♠4♣, leading to the K♥ turn, where both Vater and Xu checked again.
Zarghami bet 280,000, then Vater check-raised to 560,000. Xu folded while Zarghami went into the tank. He eventually three-bet to 1,280,000. Vater jammed, and Zarghami called, finding himself at risk for 1,970,000.
Kai Vater: A♦K♦
Emad Zarghami: 6♥6♣
Vater moved all in with top pair, but ran into Zarghami's flopped set. The 3♥ river completed the board, and Zarghami doubled up.
Rene Majed and Francesco Zappala went heads-up to a flop of 8♣6♠3♠ when Zappala bet 135,000 from early position. Majed called in the big blind.
The turn was the 7♣, and Majed led out for 300,000. Zappala spent a few minutes in the tank before raising to 1,000,000, and Majed quickly moved all in. Zappala snap-folded.
Majed showed A♥9♣ as he took the pot.
"Wow. You're great, really. I'm committed to call, and you can do this," Zappala told him as he reached across the table to shake Majed's hand.
