2025 WSOP Europe
The action started with a raise to 160,000 by Stanislav Koleno and Francesco Zappala on the button made it 550,000 to go. Koleno counted his stack carefully before he pushed all in, and Zappala beat him into the pot.
Stanislav Koleno: A♣Q♠
Francesco Zappala: A♦K♥
The J♥7♦4♠ flop and J♦ turn changed nothing, although Koleno picked up some chop outs. Instead, he spiked the Q♣ on the river, and Zappala gasped an audible, "Fuckkkk". Koleno's double was for 1,645,000, nearly cutting the stack of the Swiss player in half.
Murilo Garcia in the small blind was all-in and at risk against Jakub Riska on the button.
Murilo Garcia: Q♠J♣
Jakub Riska: 8♥7♥
Riska flopped a pair to take the lead on 6♦K♠7♣, then hit two pair with the 9♠K♦ runout to eliminate Garcia.
Alexandru Farcasanu raised to 200,000 from the small blind and Rene Majed three-bet jammed out of the big blind. The raise was for all of Farcasanu's stack, which amounted to roughly 925,000. Farcasanu made the call and the players went to a showdown.
Alexandru Farcasanu: A♠K♠
Rene Majed :A♥3♣
Farcasanu's big slick had Majed crushed, and he looked poised to score a huge double up.
Farcasanu stayed ahead through the A♣6♥9♥ flop and 2♣ turn, meaning only a trey on the river would bust him. A clean 10♥ completed the board, and Farcasanu doubled through Majed.
Patrick White raised to 200,000 in middle position, and Gal Naim moved all in for 905,000 in the small blind. White took a minute before calling.
"Do you have ace-jack?" Naim asked as they went to turn over their cards.
"Let's chop," White replied.
Gal Naim: A♥10♥
Patrick White: A♠9♠
"I'll take it," Naim said after finding out he had White dominated. The flop came K♥J♣5♠, then Naim made the nut straight on the Q♥ turn. The 3♥ river improved his hand to the nut flush and secured his double.
Adrian Dan banged his hand at the table and jumped up, then said in Romanian, "Ace ten versus ace nine, ten on the flop and ..." well, that ended my Romanian knowledge, but the outcome was obvious. His comment was to Alexandru Farcasanu, one table over, while his all-in had been against another Romanian in Bogdan Ilies as well.
Ilies' A♥9♦ went runner-runner flush on the Q♥10♠5♥7♥4♥ board for his double worth 580,000.
Slavomir Rakovan was all-in from under the gun for just a few big blinds, with Andrei Spataru the player trying to send him home.
Slavomir Rakovan: 10♦5♦
Andrei Spataru: A♠J♠
Rakovan had two live cards against the ace-jack of Spataru. However, 9♣K♣Q♠8♠4♣ wasn't the board Rakovan was looking for, and he wished the table good luck as he exited the tournament area.
Level: 25
Blinds: 40,000/80,000
Ante: 80,000
Alkiviadis Stamatis opened to 120,000 from under the gun. Dan Sfarlea on the button three-bet all in for 550,000, and Stamatis called.
Dan Sfarlea: 8♠8♣
Alkiviadis Stamatis: A♣Q♠
Sfarlea's eights held on K♠9♦6♦2♣4♦ and he doubled up.
Pedro Schulz raised to 125,000 in early position before Roland Haddad moved all in for 495,000 in the hijack. Patrick White called in the small blind, while Schulz got out of the way.
Roland Haddad: 3♠3♣
Patrick White: A♦A♥
White pretended to reel in a fishing rod after turning over his two aces. The flop came 10♠7♣4♦, while the A♠ turn improved him to top set and left Haddad drawing dead. The J♠ fell on the river and Haddad stopped to snap a photo of the board before heading for the exit.
