Green Ousted on River

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Brian Green
Brian Green

As recounted by Brian Green, Green had opened under the gun to 55,000 and an early position player jammed. Action folded back to Green who called for his stack of approximately 550,000.

Brian Green: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {10-}{10-}

The {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop improved Green to top set as the {7-Clubs} turn kept him ahead, but the {9-Hearts} spiked the river to crack his cowboys and eliminate him on an unfortunate runout.

Queens Hold For Moran

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Dan "the man" Moran opened to 40,000 from under the gun and a short stacked player in early position moved all in. A player in middle position then raised to 100,000 and action folded back around to Moran. After some thought, Moran announced all in for around 800,000. His opponent seemed tempted to call and bemoaned the fact that he had not just called and played his hand post flop. Eventually, he released his holding and the early position player was officially at risk.

Early Position Player: {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Dan Moran: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Moran was well ahead of his opponent and remained so after the {6-Clubs}{7-}{9-Spades} flop. The {a-Clubs} turn did give the at risk player a flush draw but it did not come in on the {3-Spades} river, forcing him out of the tournament.

Moraes Secures Short-Stacked Double

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Rafael Moraes jammed in early position for his 80,000 chips and Eshaan Bhalla called in the big blind.

Rafael Moraes: {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Eshaan Bhalla: {j-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop put Bhalla ahead to the {7-Clubs} turn, but the {a-Diamonds} hit the felt on the river to keep Moraes alive with a short-stacked double.

Muehloecker Claims Another Victim

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

A player in the cutoff got all of his chips in preflop against Thomas Muehloecker in the big blind.

Cutoff Player: {a-Spades}{4-Spades}
Thomas Muehloecker: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Muehloecker had his opponent dominated and was in a good place to score another knockout. The {5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop kept him ahead although the {3-Diamonds} turn did give his opponent a gutshot. The at risk player was unable to find further help on the {j-Clubs} river, however, sending him to the rail while Muehloecker dragged in the pot.

Hutter Eliminated as Bhalla Soars

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Barry Hutter
Barry Hutter

With roughly 600,000 in the pot on a {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} board, Eshaan Bhalla checked in early position, and Barry Hutter checked back in the hijack.

The {9-Hearts} completed the board and Bhalla checked. Hutter bet 410,000, and Bhalla check-raised all in to give Hutter a big decision. Hutter took off his sunglasses as he contemplated calling for his stack of approximately 880,000 behind. He chewed gum and stared at the board, and ultimately, he put in the chips.

Bhalla tabled {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for the nut flush as Hutter's {k-}{k-} went into the muck and he made his way to the payout desk. Bhalla collected the pot and continued his hot run today as he moved into the clear chip lead.
