2025 Wynn Summer Classic
July 6 at the Wynn Summer Classic was a one-event kind of day.
The only matter to be attended to was the Day 1c flight of the $1,600 Mystery Bounty, which played out in full, building the pot to $3,633,630, but leaving the Day 1b chip leader Sergei Sultanov undisturbed at the head of the leaderboard.
$1,600 Mystery Bounty Chip Counts
Day 1c was the third and final starting flight of the $1,600 Mystery Bounty.
By the end of play, the event had accrued a total prize pool of $3,633,630, coughed up by 2,541 entries across the three Day 1 flights. That puts the $1,600 Mystery Bounty comfortably in the black, exceeding the $2 million guarantee by an extra 82%.
Day 1 attrition was brutal, and across the three Day 1s, that initial batch of hopeful entrants was whittled down to just 317 players for the Day 2 field.
Day 2 is when the mystery bounty feature kicks in. Each elimination will earn the eliminator a bounty voucher that can be turned in for a randomized mystery bounty. In this event, those bounties will fall somewhere between $500 and $100,000.
Leading the field into Day 2 is Sergei Sultanov with 2,127,000. Sultanov took the chip lead at the end of Day 1b, replacing the Day 1a chip leader Aleksandr Iasnogorodsky (866,000).
Iasnogorodsky is now the number ten stack.
Day 1c furnished all of the remaining eight players in the top ten, including Anthony Hu (1,273,000) in second and Hugo Ouazana Abihssira (1,171,000) in third.
Day 2 begins at midday today and will continue until the final bounty is claimed during heads up play.

Then learn what Daniel Negreanu had to say about the alledged chip dumping that occurred between Jesse Yaginuma and James Carroll in the 2025 WSOP Millionaire Maker tournament, David Lappin's critical Op-Ed of Negreanu's take, and a couple of wild hands including Barstool Mintzy's bad beat and the unbelievable end to the 2025 Wynn Summer Classic Championship.
The hosts then take a look at some of the notable players who fell on Day 1 of the 2025 WSOP Main Event, including Chris Moneymaker and Faraz Jaka, before highlighting some recent bracelet winners in Michael Wang and Aaron Kupin. Maria Ho then talks about releasing Pokerriculum, and viewers/listeners have a chance to win a free copy of the game.

In the 904th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway, Kyna England, and Mike Holtz are joined by Grosvenor Poker Pro Jamie Nixon at Level 9 Studio in Las Vegas to talk about the latest from the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP). That includes the WSOP's controversial decision regarding the alleged Millionaire Maker chip dumping between Jesse Yaginuma and James Carroll, which may or may not include lifetime bans. It's a lively debate that examines the situation from multiple angles, including the likely involvement of the Nevada Gaming Commission.
They then take a look at a controversial hand posted by Lexy Gavin-Mather where a dealer error that may have brought a much-needed seven out of the muck had the poker world talking. From there, the trio highlight the historic win by Shiina Okamoto, who successfully defended her Ladies Event title after finishing runner-up three years ago. She also had to put up with Phil Hellmuth Jr., for better or worse, as the crew debated. That wasn't the only historic win, as Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi won the prestigious $50,000 Poker Players Championship for an unbelievable fourth time. Toss in the first gold bracelet won by Darren Elias, and there were some big winners to be celebrated.
Jamie Nixon then talks about Grosvenor Poker and the upcoming Goliath in Coventry, how his buddy is running a daily bracket of funny poker names, and then Chad explains why there's a giant cutout of Espan Jorstad's head on the set (Hint: it came from the recent GTOWizard party).
