Christian Jeppsson

The curtain came down on another successful Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) at PokerStars on March 25 with the crowning of the $5,200 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event champion. Sweden's Christian "eisenhower1" Jeppsson is that champion; he took home his third SCOOP trophy and $397,025 in prize money.

A field of 443 created a $2,215,000 prize pool that the top 55 finishers shared. Among those who cashed but failed to navigate to the final table included Joao "Naa114" Vieira, Bruno "great dant" Volkmann, Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi, Guillaume "Nolet20" Nolet, and final table bubble boy "IgammiI€120."

Much attention was focused on Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle at the start of the final table action. Rolle has the chance to add the $5,200 NLHE SCOOP Main Event title to the $5,000 WSOP Online Main Event he won in September 2025.

Brazil's "stek94" also had an opportunity to write themselves into PokerStars' history book. They won this event in 2025 and had a legitimate chance of joining Gianluca Speranza and enjoying back-to-back victories, especially as they sat down at the final table third in chips.

There was an elimination almost immediately after the final table got underway. "The+EVClown" min-raised in the cutoff with pocket nines, Jeppsson three-bet from the small blind with pocket aces, and then snap-called when "The+EVClown" ripped in 34 big blinds. An ace on the flop left "The+EVClown needing running nines, but they were drawing dead on the turn.

Pocket nines were the losing hand in the next elimination, that of Rolle. The Raise Your Edge founder min-raised with pocket nines from the cutoff, Matheus "matheusttcm" Machado three-bet with pocket jacks on the button, only for Rolle to shove for 32 big blinds in total. Machado instantly called, and a queen-high board sent Rolle to the rail.

Ukraine's "Ruba7777leb" became the seventh-place finisher shortly after Rolle had bowed out. "MyOnlyMemory" min-raised from under the gun with pocket queens, Machado flat-called from the next seat along with ace-five of hearts, and "Ruba7777leb" squeezed all-in or 12 big blinds on the button with pocket sevens. "MyOnlyMemory" moved all-in, Machado ducked out of the way, and a lack of sevens or unlikely straights or flushes on the board sent "Ruba7777leb" to the showers.

Six-handed play lasted around 40 minutes, ending with the exit of "stek94." Jeppsson opened from the cutoff with ace-ten, "stek94" responded with a three-bet from the small blind with pocket jacks, and "NY17PATS14" four-bet with ace-king in the big blind. Jeppsson had seen enough, and he released his hand, but "stek94" pushed all-in for the 40 big blinds they had behind. "NY17PATS14" called the jam and won a massive pot courtesy of a king on the flop.

New Zealand's "MyOnlyMemory" was thenex player to bust and the first finalist to clinch a six-figure prize. "NY17PATS14" opened on the button with pocket jacks, "MyOnlyMemory" looked down at king-queen of hearts in the small blind and put in a three-bet despite "ShipitFTW911" sat with only nine big blinds. Machado folded in the big blind, "NY17PATS14" four-bet enough to set "MyOnlyMemory" all-in, and they obliged by calling off the 10 big blinds they had behind.

"NY17PATS14" flopped a set of jacks only for the turn to gift "MyOnlyMemory" a king-high straight. A nine on the river paired the board and improved "NY17PATS14" to a full house, thus eliminating the New Zealander from the $5,200 SCOOP Main Event.

Sweden's "ShipitFTW911" managed to keep their head above water for a short time before the deck set them up to fail. Down to 14 big blinds, "ShipitFTW911" committed themselves to the pot by raising 11 big blinds under the gun with pocket fours. Their fellow Swede clicked it back with pocket sevens in the big blind, and "ShipitFTW911" called off their last three big blinds. The sevens held, and the tournament was down to the final trio of players.

Jeppsson was the shortest stack by far at the start of three-handed play, his 41 big blinds overshadowed by the 121 big blind stack of Machado and the 147 big blinds of "NY17PATS14." However, Jeppsson has been around the block a few times, kept his cool, and began attempting to chip up.

Jeppsson and Macaho clashed several times, with the former getting the better of those confrontations. At the three-hour mark, a key hand occurred that put the ball firmly in Jeppson's court.

The Swedish grinder raised on the button with king-queen, Machado called with eight-seven in the big blind before check-raising on a queen-six-five flop. Jeppsson called the raise, and it was off to an eight on the turn. Machado led for two-thirds pot with his pair of eights and open-ended straight draw. Jeppsson called, and a jack landed on he turn. Machado bet 32 of his 33 big blinds, which was slightly less than pot, and Jeppsson made the call.

Machado managed to spin their solitary big blind to 10 big blinds, but he pushed those over the betting line with jack-ten of spades and couldn't get there against Jeppsson's pocket aces.

That hand gave Jeppson a 147 big blind to 74 big blind chip advantage over "NY17PATS14," but there was still plenty of poker to be played. The heads-up duo fought for an hour, but "NY17PATS14" was going nowhere.

Something had to give, and it did so seemingly out of nowhere. Jeppsson raised with jack-trey, "NY17PATS14" called with eight-seven, and it was off to five-jack-nine flop with two diamonds; "NY17PATS14" held the eight of diamonds. "NY17PATS14" check-raised on the flop, and Jeppsson called with his top pair. The turn was the four of spades, which "NY17PATS14" fired a chunky bet on, but Jeppsson called again.

The ace of diamonds on the river saw "NY17PATS14" move all-in for 25.3 billing into a 27.4 million pot. Jeppsson went into the tank for around 15-20 seconds before emerging with a hand and a tournament-winning call.

"NY17PATS14" crashed out in second for $295,097, leaving Jeppsson to be forever known as the 2026 SCOOP Main Event champion, an accolade that came with $397,025.
