Huntly Calls Off Bluff

We came to the action at Dennis Huntley's table with a board showing {j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Huntley faced with a bet of 925 from one opponent.

It was at this stage that Huntly flicked in a raise to 2,200. His opponent called and an {a-Spades} hit the river. Huntley checked to his opponent who thought for a few moments before betting 2,200. Huntly then looked pained as he went into the tank. He studied his opponent before flicking the call into the pot, at which point his opponent flew his cards into the muck. Looking somewhat suprised Huntley took down the pot without shoing his hand.

Caris Killing Cohen

The action started when Charles Caris opened to 600 from middle position. Three players would make the call, including Julian Cohen in the small blind and the big blind player.

Flop: {q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

At this point Cohen put in the check-raise to 2,100 after Caris made it 800 to go. With the action on Caris he would then slide in a tall stack of 1,000 denomination chips with enought to cover Cohen. As the stack fell and slid across the felt, Cohen push his cards into the muck and sent the pot to Caris.

No Return For Karib

Karib Karib hasn't returned from his break, with the details of his bustout just surfacing.

Apparently Karib's demise started when Jurcic opened preflop to 400 and Karib three-bet to 2,000 from the big blind. Jurcic made the call and the {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{q-Spades} was dealt. At this point Karib shoved and Jurcic called.

Karib: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Jurcic: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

The board ran out with repeat sixes and Jurcic took down the pot while Karib was sent home.

Kings Aint Enough

Poker seems to be a little easier when you get dealt pocket kings and pocket aces back-to-back, at least it was that way for Charles Caris.

Caris first managed to gain some chips when he got quite a bit of value with his {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} against one opponent and then on the very next hand got less value, but still gained some much valued chips when against one opponent with {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}.

Sale Needs Life Boat

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Alicia Sale managed to win an APPT Queenstown side event earlier in the week , but with her now sitting with a short stack it is looking like Sale may be heading home early in the Main Event.

There would be four players who would see the flop fall {8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and it was Norah Greer who acted first, opting to check. Octavian Voegele was next in line and he made it 300 to go and received calls from Leo Boxell, Sale and Greer.

The turn card was the {9-Clubs} and Greer and Voegele would both check as Sale threw out 600 in chips. Boxell then raised it up to 2,400 and Greer and Voegele got out of the way. Sale made the call and the two remaining players would see the {6-Clubs} land on the river.

When Sale checked, Boxell would make it 2,000 and Sale made the call, mucking her hand whe Boxell turned over {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a rivered flush.
