Cabret Gets it Back

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

With the flop reading {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{q-Hearts} Joe Cabret checked his option before Jason Gray bet out 45,000. Ashley Mason was also in the hand and made the call as did Cabret.

The three then checked the {9-Hearts} on the river before Cabret moved all in for his last 126,000 when the {2-Clubs} appeared on the river. Gray thought about his decision for a minute before making the call as Mason got out of the way.

Cabret then tabled his {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} for trip queens which was enough to take down the pot.

Big Win for Gray

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Jason Gray has just scooped a big pot against Joe Cabret.

We arrived to find Cabret betting 75,000 into a large pot in excess of 100,000 on the turn of a {8-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts} board. Jason Gray called and a {10-Diamonds} completed the board.

On the river, Cabret led for 100,000 and Gray called.

When Gray showed {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, the dealer started sending the pot to Gray.

"Hold up, I've got two pair," said Cabret.

The dealer then informed Cabret that Gray had made a straight to rake in the pot.

Fazzino No More, 21 Remain

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Sal Fazzino's tournament as come to an end. He shoved his last 79,000 from the cutoff with {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and was hoping to sneak through the blinds but Ash Mason made the call in the small blind with {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

The flop of {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{a-Spades} whacked Mason with two pair although Fazzino did find hope when the {5-Hearts} appeared on the turn to give him outs to a straight. But it wasn't to be as the {3-Diamonds} completed the board. Fazzino is out as Mason climbs to 460,000.

Kozlov Doubles Through Damelian

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

We arrived at the action with Martin Kozlov having opened from under the gun and Jazz Mathers having called from the small blind. Robert Damelian was in the big blind and three-bet to 48,000. Back on Kozlov and he moved all in for 139,000. Mathers got out of the way, while Damelian called.

Kozlov was looking good with his {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} against Damelian's {q-Clubs}{q-Spades} and it stayed that way as a {4-Spades}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts} board was spread on the felt.

Kampanatsanyakorn with the Straight Flush

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Chane Kampanatsanyakorn started today as the shortest stack, with only 30,000 to his name. He now sits behind a stack totalling 590,000 after a fantastic day on the felt.

In the most recent hand and with the flop reading {9-Hearts}{2-Spades}{q-Hearts}, Kampanatsanyakorn checked his option. Robert Damelian was his opponent in the hand and bet out 18,000. Kampanatsanyakorn then bumped it up to 48,000 which was called. On the {2-Clubs} turn, Kampanatsanyakorn led out for 30,000 and was called before the {k-Hearts} completed the board.

Over a minute went by before Kampanatsanyakorn finally slid out a bet of 50,000 which was called almost instantly. Kampanatsanyakorn then casually tabled his {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a straight flush, which saw Damelian muck his hand in disappointment.

Mathers Makes Great Call

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The hand started with Jazz Mathers opening to 17,000 from the hijack and getting called by Phi Luu in the blinds. The flop came down {4-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} as Luu checked his option. Mathers threw out a continuation bet of 17,000 which was called, before both players checked the {10-Diamonds} on the turn.

The {3-Spades} fell on the river and Luu then bet out 47,000. Mathers went into the tank for several minutes before finally making the call. Luu then tabled his {k-}{q-} for king-high, before Mathers rolled over his {a-Clubs}{8-Spades} for ace-high.

That call from Mathers sees him move up to 300,000 in chips.
