A Starcraft Pro Turned into Poker Player
Lim Yo Hwan is one of the most famous players in the field, although his fame doesn't come from our favorite Texas Hold'em game. Lim is a very accomplished and well-known Starcraft player, who played professionally the real-time strategy computer game.
According to Wikipedia, Lim is 39 years old, known by the ID 'SlayerS_BoxeR' (usually shortened to BoxeR), and he retired in late 2010 from StarCraft: Brood War and founded the StarCraft II team SlayerS. After this team was disbanded he returned to SK Telecom T1 (SK T1) as a coach before retiring due to health related issues.
Lim has a record of 548 wins and 416 losses (56.80%) in his professional career. He is one of the highest-paid professional gamers, with annual earnings that exceed $400,000 and endorsement contracts that bring in an additional $90,000 per year.
He is still in the field, although he will need some help in order to progress to Day 2, as he is left with 27,000 in chips.
