Kerry Stead has dropped to 9,000 in chips after an attempted bluff in a hand against Simon Morris went awry.

We caught up to the hand on the flop with the board showing {K-Diamonds}

. Morris bet and Stead called.

When the {8-Hearts}

fell on the turn, Stead got fancy and check-raised a bet from Morris, who stayed right along with Stead.

The river brought the {8-Diamonds}

and Morris passed the final option to Stead who took one last stab at the pot. Morris looked him up and Stead tabled {A-Hearts}

for complete air.

Morris showed the {A-Diamonds}

to claim the pot, improving to 40,000 in chips in the process.

Stead Slips Up Against Sheth

Kerry Stead raised preflop from early position and the action folded around to Amit Sheth who reraised from the small blind.

Stead called and they saw a flop of {8-Clubs}

; Sheth led out and Stead called, then both players checked the turn of the {j-Clubs}

On the river {9-Spades}

, Sheth led out again and Stead went deep into the tank before eventually making the call, only to muck when Sheth rolled up {6-Clubs}

for the flush.

Sheth is up to 52,000 in chips while Stead is down to just 19,000.

The action folded around to Jim Sachinidis who raised from the button before David Zhao called from the small blind and Jan Suchanek called from the big blind.

Zhao and Suchanek checked the flop of {9-Hearts}

to Sachinidis who led out for 1,200. Zhao check-raised, Suchanek called and Sachinidis folded, leaving the other two to the turn of the {5-Clubs}

.

Zhao check-folded after Suchanenk led out. "Have you been making moves?" Sachinidis asked Zhao.

One can only wonder, but Zhao is still in this tournament with 41,000 in chips. Suchanek is up to 57,000.

Action folded around to Suchanek in the hijack position and he opened with a raise. Wilson made the call from the cutoff and the two went heads-up to an {8-Clubs}

flop. Suchanek then checked, Wilson bet and Suchanek called.

The turn brought the {10-Hearts}

and the action remained the same -- check, bet, call.

The {10-Diamonds}

fell on the river and once more, the action went check, bet, call.

At the showdown, Wilson tabled a pocket pair of jacks for two pair and Suchanek mucked his hand, dropping back down to 51,000.
