Level 7 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Philipp Gruissem just raised to 22,000 from the cutoff and Paul Phua three-bet to 60,000 from the button. Both blinds folded and Gruissem put in a four-bet to 95,000. Phua made the call.

The flop brought out {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Gruissem fired out a hefty bet worth 125,000. Phua tanked long and hard but eventually he folded his cards.

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Registration has closed and there will be no more rebuys or late entrants into the events. That means Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius, Dan Shak and John Juanda will not be competing this year.

Players are now on a 15-minute break.

Phua with a Pair of Aces

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

On the button, Gus Hansen raised to 18,000. Paul Phua called from the big blind to see the {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop, then checked. Hansen bet 18,000, and Phua called.

The turn was the {8-Hearts}, and the river was the {7-Diamonds}. Both Phua and Hansen checked each street before Phua opened the {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for a pair of aces. Hansen couldn't beat it and mucked his hand to award Phua the pot.

Quoss Shoves River Against Hansen

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

From the button, Fabian Quoss raised to 16,000. Gus Hansen reraised to 44,000 out of the small blind, and Quoss made the call.

The flop came down {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}, and Hansen check-called a bet of 40,000 from Quoss to see the {2-Diamonds} land on the turn. Both players checked, and the river completed the board with the {A-Diamonds}. Hansen checked, and Quoss moved all in for 160,000. Hansen folded, and Quoss won the pot.

Esfandiari's Stays in

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Antonio Esfandiari just moved all in under the gun plus one and the action was folded to Tobias Reinkemeier in the big blind. Esfandiari's shove was for 41,000 and Reinkemeier applied some math before making the call.

Reinkemeier: {Q-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Esfandiari: {Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Esfandiari's eight played. He's back up to 88,000 but still one of the shortest stacks in the room.
