Huntly Still in Contention

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Down to a mere 15 big blinds, Dennis Huntly had jammed out of the big blind before the break and doubled with {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds} versus {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}. The board came {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Huntly remained in contention on a table that also features Robert Spano, Oliver Gill, Yosuke Sekiya and Hao Tian.

Gill on the Flop

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Dennis Huntly called from the hijack and was followed by Oliver Gill in the small blind. Hao Tian checked from the big blind.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Gill tossed out 3,000. Tian snap-mucked and Huntly followed shortly after.

"I just got a seven. Nothing special," said Gill, as he collected the small pot.

Finger Takes it Down on the River

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Robert Spano raised to 3,600 from the cutoff and was called by Martin Finger in the big blind.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} and Finger checked. Spano bet 4,800. Finger called.

Both players checked the {3-Spades} on the turn before the {8-Hearts} completed the board.

Finger fired out 6,500 and took down the pot after Spano mucked his hand.

Hopkins Bows Out

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
James Hopkins
James Hopkins

Soon after getting back from the break, James Hopkins got involved in the action and ended up jamming the {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} river for just under the size of the pot in the cutoff. His opponent was Ravindran Maravar, who eventually check-called the jam out of the big blind and Hopkins turned over {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for a bluff gone wrong.

Maravar claimed the pot with {K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for top pair and Hopkins quickly headed out of the tournament area.

Lynskey Loses House Over House

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

On a {j-Hearts}{5-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} turn Joshua McCully check-called 7,500 and the pair saw a {j-Spades} river.

Both players checked with Lynskey showing {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for a rivered full house. McCully showed {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs} also for a rivered full house which saw him take down the pot.

Salter Chipping Up

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

On a board of {2-Clubs}{k-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} the action was checked three times before the decision fell on Jack Salter in the cutoff. He bet 3,500. He found only one call from the player in middle position.

Both players then opted to check as the {8-Spades} completed the board.

Salter reluctantly showed his {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for two pair but took down the pot after his opponent mucked his hand.

Lots of Chips in Play on Table 10

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Table eight has an all star line up with several big names and big stacks, and table 10 just a few meters over just saw Celina Lin take the seat that formerly belonged to Mikael Koistinen. According to Raphael Wimmer, he called the four-bet shove of Koistinen with kings and the Finn couldn't get there with queens to bow out.
