Tino Lechich Survives

Tino Lechich pushed the last of his chips into the middle holding {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and was thrilled to get a call from Rayan Nathan when he tabled {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

However when a nine appeared in the window of the flop, Tino had one foot out the door until the rest of the flop was revealed as 9-4-J. The turn and river blanked and Tino found a nice double up.

Tony G Chops Queens

With the board reading {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, Tony G fired a 2,500 bet on the river but looked a little concerned when his opponent made a quick call.

The cards were tabled and Tony showed {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} but his ladies were only good for a chopped pot as his opponent revealed the same hand with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}!

Grant Levy Eliminated

The money went all in on the turn with the board reading {3-Clubs}{J-Spades}{Q-Spades}{2-Clubs}, in a huge pot between Sydney based players Eric Assadourian and Grant Levy.

Levy: {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Assadourian: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

In an amazing set over set confrontation, Levy was left with only one out on the river. The miracle didn't arrive and Levy was left to make an early exit as Assadourian moved to over 25,000 in chips!

Grant "Levy"ing Chips

Recent APPT Sydney Main Event winner Grant Levy is off to a fast start in today's rebuy event. He's just stacked up over 11,000 in chips after eliminating an opponent from the tournament.

Pre-flop, the action folded around to Levy in middle position who opened with a 275 raise. His opponent made the call from the button.

The flop came down {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and Levy led out with an 800 bet. His opponent then moved all in for a total of 2,525; Levy made the call.

Levy: {J-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Button: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

The turn and river were both blanks ({3-Spades} and {4-Diamonds}) and Levy took down the pot and 11,500 in new chips.

Julian Powell Wins Monster Pot

In a massive clash on table 25, Julian Powell has just doubled through Shane 'shaniac' Shleger to assume the tournament chip lead.

On a board of {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}, Shleger bet out 900 from the cutoff and Powell check-raised to 2,600 from the big blind. Shleger made the call.

The turn landed {9-Hearts} and Powell went all-in. Shleger asked for a count before making the 7,000 call.

Powell flipped {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and we believe Shleger mucked his cards before even seeing the river. The {2-Hearts} was dealt and Powell raked in a massive pot worth over 20,000 chips, leaving Shleger crippled.

'shaniac' Doubles Up

Well-known online pro Shane 'shaniac' Shleger has just doubled up through Australian pro Sam Youssef and assumed the tournament chip lead.

Three players entered the pot for 300 each and the flop came {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Spades}. All three players contesting the pot checked, opting to see a free turn card, which was the {5-Clubs}. Action then checked around to Shleger on the button, who tossed 600 worth of chips into the middle. When the action returned to Youssef, he put Shleger all in with a bet of over 10,000 in chips. Shleger immediately made the call and turned over {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for the absolute nuts; Youssef revealed the {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

Youssef ended up making two pair on the river when the {A-Diamonds} popped off, but to no avail, as it also gave Shleger a full house.

After the hand, Shleger stacked up over 16,000 in chips while Youssef dropped to just under 6,000.
