Zhi Hong Ma Eliminated

Zhi Hong Ma has just busted out of today's event with his pocket queens running into the pocket aces of Andrew Topakas. With all the money in pre-flop Ma needed a miracle queen but the board came {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} to eliminate Ma and elevate Topakas up to 42,000 in chips.

Josh "JJProdigy" Field Eliminated

Josh "JJProdigy" Field has just experienced an elimination from a live No Limit Holdem tournament for the very first time.

Anna Wroblewski raised it up from under-the-gun to 1,600 with Michael Russell and David Steicke making the call. "JJProdigy" then bumped it up another 14,000 and the action folded back to Steicke who went into the tank. He eventually made the call and flipped {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} to have the lead over Field's {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}.

The board landed {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and Steicke doubles up to 40,000, eliminating young gun Josh "JJProdigy" Field from today's event within sight of a cash finish.

Saul Busts Sol

Kevin "BeL0WaB0Ve" Saul has just added another 20,000 in chips to his stack with the elimination of Canadian Sol Bergren.

Saul opened the pot with a raise from under-the-gun and Bergren re-popped it to 5,000 from late position. Saul made the call and the flop came down {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. Saul then passed the first action to Bergren who opened with a 5,000 bet. Saul then check-raised to 15,000, a move that was met with an all in bet from Bergren, who had a total of approximately 18,000 in chips.

Saul made the call and revealed {5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}; Bergren flipped over a pocket pair of jacks.

The turn ({5-Clubs}) brought disaster for Bergren, as it gave Saul trip fives and the lead in the hand. Bergren would need to catch a jack and a jack only on the river to stay alive, but would get no such luck, as the last card off the deck was the {4-Clubs}.

Saul pushed past the 70,000 mark in chips after the hand.

Vincent Connecting With Aces

Jonny Vincent
Jonny Vincent
When a short-stacked player on the button pushed his remaining chips into the middle, Jonny Vincent looks down at {A-Spades}{4-Spades} figuring it was a good chance to be the best hand and made the call. The button flipped pocket sevens and Vincent was going to need some help.

The flop did exactly that, with the board finishing {8-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{K-Hearts} as "Yoyo" jumps to 37,000 chips.

Powell Claims Another

Julian Powell
Julian Powell
Feeling "priced in" Julian Powell made the call with A-5 against the push of a short-stacked Steve Topakas who held pocket eights.

The board landed 9-4-3-2-6 and Powell had made a straight as a dejected Topakas heads to the rail with a sarcastic, "Thanks, Julian...(expletive)."

36 Players Remaining

After seven and a half levels of play, there are just 36 players remaining in the tournament and the average chip stack is 21,916.

Kevin "BeL0WaB0Ve" Saul is at the top of the leaderboard at the moment with 52,000 in chips, followed by Michael "Timex" McDonald who currently has 46,000 in chips.

It's clear early on at this year's Aussie Millions that the online poker contingent is prepped and ready to put up some very big results.
