Ross Eliminated

Ross couldn't come from behind
Ross couldn't come from behind
Carter Philips raised to 26,000 from early position before the new million-dollar man Patrick Bueno pumped the action up to 64,000. The big blind was Markus Ross and he moved all in for 228,000 total. Philips folded and Bueno made the call.

Bueno: {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}
Ross: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Spades} {8-Hearts} {3-Spades} {10-Spades} {8-Clubs} and that was it for Ross. Bueno now has 1.4 million chips. If he plays another pot with Lapossie, things could get pretty interesting given their stack sizes.

Bueno Makes a Big Call

Matt Lapossie was sitting on about 1.8 million chips when he tangled with Patrick Bueno who was sitting on about 900,000. The two had built up a pot worth about 175,000 by the river on a board that read {K-Spades} {8-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {3-Clubs}.

On the river, Lapossie fired out 122,000. Bueno was on the button and took some time to think about his decision. Eventually, he made the call.

Lapossie tabled {6-Spades} {5-Spades} for nothing. Bueno held {K-Clubs} {J-Clubs} for a pair of kings of scooped in the pot. He now has 1.2 million while Lapossie dropped to 1.625 million.

Jorn But Not Forgotten

Here today, Jorn tomorrow.
Here today, Jorn tomorrow.
It folded around to Simon Munoz in the small blind, who moved all in. Jorn Walthaus in the big blind, down to 136,000, called all in.

Walthaus: {2-Clubs} {2-Hearts}
Munoz: {K-Diamonds} {3-Hearts}

Board: {4-Clubs} {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}

With the loss of Walthaus, we are down to a single Dutchman in the shape of Julien Nuijten.

Lapossie Busts Fesselier

"I like having teh Acez."
"I like having teh Acez."
Matt Lapossie has just eliminated Kevin Fesselier in a huge pot as the chip leader found {A-Clubs} {A-Hearts} as the latter picked up {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}. The board came out {A-Spades} {4-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {9-Clubs}. Lapossie has more than picked up all those he lost recently to French players Boubli and Bueno.

Reinkemeier and Kapalas Play a Massive Pot

Samer Rahman raised from the cutoff to 26,000. Asa Smith was next to act and raised to 71,000 on the button. Tobias Reinkemeier was in the small blind and went into the tank. After about a minute, he announced a raise and made it 220,000 to go. At this time, Samer Rahman leaned back in his chair and tapped Jens Kyllonen on the shoulder to point out what was going on at his table. He then showed his hand to Kyllonen as action was on the big blind, Georgios Kapalas.

Kapalas asked for a count on the players' stacks in the hand and they all moved their arms so he could see. Then, he moved all in. Rahman folded as did Smith. Reinkemeier has nearly two-thirds of his stack in the middle and made the call.

Reinkemeier held {J-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} and Kapalas held {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}. The board ran out {10-Spades} {5-Spades} {2-Hearts} {A-Spades} {2-Spades}, spiking the ace for Kapalas on the turn. He now has 1.2 million chips after being awarded the largest pot of the tournament thus far.
