Arnaud Mattern is down to his last 7,000 chips after losing with pocket kings to the of Maris Keiriss.
He raised preflop and was called by Oleg Epp on the button and Keiriss in the big blind. The flop came and the action was checked to Epp who bet 525. Both players called before all three checked the turn.
The river fell and Keiriss led for 1,300 from the big blind and only Mattern called (with pocket kings) but mucked when Keiriss opened his trips. Epp folded his hand quickly.
Kayvan Payman is no stranger to the European Poker Tour and he is busy making his presence felt over on Table 3
He opened the betting with a raise to 500 from the hijack seat and next to act, Uwe Mauerhoff, made the call. The action folded to Team PokerStars Pro Richard Toth in the small blind and he squeezed to 1,950 but he did not take down the pot, instead he picked up two callers.
Flop: - Toth checked, Payman kept his foot firmly on the gas and made it 1,700 to pay and Mauerhoff called. Toth folded and it was heads up to the turn.
Turn: - The turn was the perfect card to fire another shot at and Payman did just that, making it 4,500 to play. Mauerhoff decided the price was too high for him to continue and he folded and got out of the way.
Phidias Georgiou used to be a regular on the EPT but has concentrated on playing online for the last eighteen months. He has 31,000 chips and just won a pot after accidentally raising too much.
Georgiou, Yulius Sepman and Terje Markhus all saw a flop. Sepman was the aggressor preflop and continued that line with a 750 bet that was called by Markhus before the Cypriot threw in a raise to 11,675.
Both players folded and was very relieved and said, "See what happens when you don't play for one and half years." "I though these (pointing to the yellow t5,000 chips) were 1,000 chips", he continued.
Praz Bansi has climbed to 38,300 after a tussle with Agris Klaise over on Table 7.
Bansi got the betting underway with a raise to 400 from the hijack. The action folded around to Klaise in the big blind and he made the call. The flop came down and both players checked. The turn was the and Klaise lead out with a bet of 525, a bet that Bansi called very quickly. The river was the and now Klaise checked and angrily folded when Bansi lace a bet of 1,750.
Current EPT San Remo champion Rupert Elder seems to be having a frustrating day at the felt today and currently finds himself down to 14,400 chips.
On a flop reading Elder, in the small blinds, bet 800 chips and Maris Keiriss quickly called. When the landed on the turn, Elder fired another barrel, this time a larger one that topped the scales at 1,800. But it was not enough to force Keiriss out of the pot as he quickly called again. The river brought the into play and Elder fired barrel number three, this one being 2,800 chips. Keiriss called for the third time and the players revealed their hands.
Expect fireworks from Table 1 at the far end of the room as a couple of tables have just broken and two of their top players have been moved.

Maksim Kolosov raised to 525 from early position and Carlomaria Fieri three-bet to his direct left making it 1,350 to play. The action folded back around to Kolosov who made the call.

Turn:
The presence of the ace and the heart flush increased the intensity of the action. Kolosov checked, Fieri bet 2,600 and Kolosov min-check-raised to 5,200. Fieri asked for a quick count to confirm the bet and he then made the call.
River:
Kolosov moved two yellow and one red chip across the line and after time spent in the tank Fieri folded.
Qualifier of the year for EPT Season 7 - Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson started this season as he finished last season - winning lots of pots. He tweeted this a while ago, "47k after 2 lvls. seems like I draw the golden seat card :) been playing 6max so far too! prob gonna fill up know tho."
He increased this stack to around 68,000 chips before he just relinquished a pot to drop back to 64,000. His under-the-gun raise was called in two spots en route to a flop.
He continued for 850 only to face a check-raise up to 1,750 from Mikhail Morozovs in the big blind. The third player folded. Jacobson called but folded to a 2,300 bet on the turn.
As we crept quietly into level four the antes showed up for the first time today as did Martin Jacobson's trade mark white cans. Poker players tend to turn up at these events wearing the same clothes, or bringing along the same poker apparel, and we can only assume they are either superstitious or skint! In the case of Jacobson, with his unenviable European Poker Tour record, we will assume he just likes his white cans. Either way they don't seem to be doing him any harm as this following hand demonstrates.
