Elder Busts

Mohsin Charania was the man who we thought was going to be our chip leader yesterday, until Team PokerStars Pro Max Martinez caught him at the death. Still, the former Sunday Million winner bagged up 413,500 chips to give him a 2nd place finish. His stack is now 460,000 and this is partly because he has just eliminated Rupert Elder. The pair clashed pre flop and Charania had the former EPT Champion dominated.

Charania{A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}
Elder{A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}

Board: {A-Spades} {10-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}

So Rupert Elder will not be our first ever double EPT Champion.

Boujenah Wins One and Loses One

On the {J-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, Dan Abouaf checked before Ilan Boujenah fired 11,000. Guillaume Darcourt called behind and then Abouaf also called.

The turn was the {Q-Diamonds} and all three players checked to see the {6-Hearts} land on the river. Abouaf pounced with a bet of 21,000 and Boujenah called. Darcourt folded.

Boujenah showed the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} to beat Abouaf's {A-Spades}{3-Spades} and win the pot.

On the next hand, Boujenah raised to 8,000 and Andres Artinano called in position to take the {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop. Boujenah bet 10,000 and Artinano called.

The turn was the {J-Clubs} and both players checked. They also checked the {9-Spades} river card.

Artinano showed a winning {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and Boujenah mucked his hand.

Renkers Ropes In a Double

From the hijack seat, Andoni Larrabe Sánchez opened with a raise to 8,000. Patrick Renkers jammed all in from the cutoff seat for 43,000 and everyone folded back to Sánchez. He made the call holding the {Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Renkers held the {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

The flop gave Sánchez the lead with the {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} coming turn. He stayed in front after the {2-Clubs} turn card, but the {A-Diamonds} on the river doubled Renkers up and moved him back near 100,000 in chips.
