Guichard Back On Top

Paul Guichard
Paul Guichard

Mick Graydon raised to 110,000 from middle position and Olivier Rogez called from the hijack. Paul Guichard popped it to 290,000 from the small blind and only chased away Graydon.

The flop came down {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades} and both players checked. When the {J-Clubs} hit the turn, Guichard bet 325,000. Rogez took about a minute before calling, landing the {6-Hearts} on the river. Guichard bet 345,000 and was met with a call from Rogez.

Guichard tabled {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} for top pair, good enough to win the pot and take the chip lead.

Etienne Moudarres Eliminated in 10th Place (€50,000)

Etienne Moudarres - 10th place.
Etienne Moudarres - 10th place.

Heads-up with Vadzim Kursevich, Etienne Moudarrespushed all in for his last one million chips on a {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop.

After a good little while in the tank, Kursevich called.

Kursevich: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Moudaress: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Needing some serious help, Moudaressgot none from the {8-Hearts} turn or {7-Hearts} river and as he exits 10th, EPT Deauville is down to the final nine and the unofficial final table, needing just one elimination before Day 5 is done.

Baburin Bounces Back

Sergey Baburin was in need of a double-up and that's exactly what he's got. He called all-in for 570,000 from the big blind after Paul Guichard set him in from the small blind.

Guichard: {k-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Baburin: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

It was close but the river came to save the Russian.

Nikolaus Teichert Eliminated in 11th Place (€37,500)

Soon after losing a 2-million chip pot pot to Vadzim Kursevich, Nikolaus Teichert put his last one million chips and tournament life on the line with {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, only to be looked up by Bruno Jais and his dominating {a-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Teichert stayed alive until the river card, but busted on the {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts} board to take 11th.

Ignat Liviu - 12th place.

Ignat Liviu open-shoved his last 290,000 with {k-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Etienne Moudaress made the call holding {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Liviu had two live cards, but did not connect with the {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} board and said goodbye in 12th place.

Kursevich Crushes Teichert

Vadim Kursevich made it 110k and Nikolaus Teichert defended his big blind.

The flop came down {9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Teichert led out for a rather large 500k. Kursevich spent a few minutes thinking it over, but he called.

The turn came the {q-Hearts} and Teichert led again, making it another 500k.

An unhappy looking Kursevich made the call and the {2-Hearts} river was revealed.

Teichert tapped the table as a check and Kursevich made it 875,000. Teichert called, showing {10-Spades}{2-Spades} for trips, but Kursevich held {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and a full house to drag the 2-million chip pot.

Graydon Doubles Through Baburin

Mick "BIGMICKG" Graydon was first to act and he moved all in for 570,000. Action folded to Sergey Baburin in the big blind. After a few moments, he called with {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

Graydon turned over {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and held through the {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} board.

Rob Stain Eliminated in 13th Place (€30,000)

Rob Stain - 13th place.
Rob Stain - 13th place.

Rob Stain shipped his last 440k in with {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} and Bruno Jais looked him up holding {q-Spades}{3-Spades}.

The {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop put Jais in then lead, but after the {k-Spades} turn, Stain looked good to double up.

Unfortunately for him, the {q-Diamonds} came down on the river, crushing his hopes of continuing here at EPT Deauville and sending Jais over the 4-million chip mark.
