Guichard Grabs The Lead From Rogez

Olivier Rogez raised to 85,000 from the hijack and Paul Guichard called on the button.

The flop fell {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Rogez checked. Guichard bet 55,000, Rogez min-raised to 110,000, and Guichard called to see the {10-Hearts} turn. Another check from Rogez led to a Guichard bet of 155,000. There would be no check-raise from Rogez this time as he just called, landing the {9-Diamonds} on the river.

A third check from Rogez resulted in Guichard betting 525,000. After about one minute in the tank Rogez called, but saw the bad news as Guichard tabled {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for the nuts.

Kursevich Edges Pagano

Luca Pagano made it 80,000 from the cutoff and Vadzim Kursevich called from the small blind.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and both checked until the {3-Spades} turn came and Kursevich led out large, forcing Pagano to fold.

The very next hand Pagano made it 80,000 and Kursevich three-bet from the button, making it 215,000.

Pagano folded again and Kursevich now has 2.8 million to Pagano's 2.6, taking the lead at the feature table.

Jais Keeps Climbing

Christian Togsverd made it 80k under the gun and Bruno Jais called from the cutoff.

The two went heads-up to the {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop where Togsverd made it 130k.

Jais called and the {4-Clubs} turn was checked by both. But after Togsverd checked the {2-Spades} river, Jais made it 250,000.

Togsverd took his time about it, but eventually folded, pushing Jais, who started the day with 900k, up and over the two-million chip mark.

Brammer's Back

Chris Brammer finally managed to accrue some chips today off his nemesis, Olivier Rogez. He open shoved for 360,000 from the cut-off and was only called by the Frenchman from the button.

Brammer: {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}
Rogez: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The board ran {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.

Brammer thought he had been flopped dead, and must have thought his hand wasn't going to hold. It did, and he some more chips to play with.

Rumen Nanev - 18th place
Rumen Nanev - 18th place

Rumen Nanev was moved tables after that huge hand, and was straight in to the blind blind. He faced a raise to 75,000 from Olivier Rogez and a call from Sergey Baburin. He moved all in for 126,000 and both opponents called.

The Flop fell {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and a Rogez lead was enough to get it heads-up. The Frenchman tabled {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for top two-pair, way ahead of Nanev's {7-Spades}{8-Hearts}. The board ran out {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and the Bulgarian made his exit.
