Anooj Saareen Runs into Aces

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

After a raise to 14,000, Andrea Cortellazzi three-bet to 37,000 and Anooj Saareen four-bet all in. The initial raiser folded and Cortellazzi didn't even need to ask for a count, as he quickly called for a reason.

Saareen: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Cortellazzi: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}

The {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop gave Saareen some hope, but the {K-Hearts} turn and {8-Hearts} river blanked to send him to the rail. A floorman arrived and Saareen joked "do I get some money now?" with a smile on the face.

Friberg Finds It

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Andreas Chalkiadakis and Erik Friberg clashed in a pot which may not affect the upper limits of the leaderboard right now, but could lead to fireworks at their table. We joined the action on a flop of {3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{J-Spades} to see Erik Friberg commit all of his chips, putting himself at risk with {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} .

Chalkiadakis was all-in too, and was way ahead with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} but he didn't stay ahead, the {5-Clubs} landing on the turn and leading to Chalkiadakis exclaiming in anguish and jumping out of his seat. The river {2-Spades} led to Friberg doubling through his opponent to 260,000, but Chalkiadakis has a bigger problem that still having around 16 big blinds. He is currently trying to regain his composure after the hand.

Aki Virtanen was all in and at risk with the {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Adem Marjanovic looked him up with the {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs} out of the big blind. The flop gave Marjanovic a straight draw with the {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Spades}, and he instantly got there with the {8-Spades} turn. The {3-Hearts} river was a mere formality and Virtanen headed to the payout desk.
