Thomas Takes from Tuna

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

The hand started rather innocent in a battle of the blinds, when Julian Thomas limped in and Akin Tuna checked. On the {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} flop, Thomas bet small and Tuna called before the {5-Diamonds} fell on the turn. Thomas checked, Tuna bet 10,000 and Thomas check-raised to 40,000. Tuna now reraised to 80,000 and Thomas called.

Both players checked the {6-Spades} river and Thomas showed {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for trips aces, Tuna mucked.

Kolonias and Moraes Meet Again

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

In the €25,000 High Roller at the EPT12 Grand Final, Alexandros Kolonias and Rafael Moraes were both on the podium and finished third (Moraes, for €568,200) respectively second (€805,900) and recorded the biggest live cashes of their career thus far.

Now they meet again and shared the same table for most of Day 1 thus far. Kolonias raised it up from the small blind to 9,000 and Moraes called to see the flop of {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}. Kolonias checked, Moraes bet 12,500 and Kolonias called.

After the {7-Diamonds} turn, Kolonias checked for the second time and then folded when Moraes fired a bet of 35,500.

Dvoress vs Yaghmai

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

With around 27,000 in the pot and the board reading {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, Daniel Dvoress bet 18,500 out of the small blind and Nariman Yaghmai raised to 42,000 from the cutoff. Dvoress called and the {4-Clubs} river slowed down the action, as Dvoress checked. Yaghmai checked behind and took down the pot with the {2-Hearts}{2-Spades} for a set of deuces.

"That was a good river for someone. And a good turn." Chance Kornuth in the eight seat said and Yaghmai just smiled while raking in the pot, before Kornuth grinned and added a "stick to bluffing Daniel."

Lebedev on a Rush, Khangah Eliminated

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Manuchehr Ahadpur Khangah
Manuchehr Ahadpur Khangah

Hand 1

Sergey Lebedev raised to 6,500 and Thomas Muehloecker three-bet to 19,500 from one seat over on the button, Lebedev called. On the {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, Lebedev check-called a bet worth 26,000 and checked again the {5-Spades} turn. Muehloecker bet 65,000 and Lebedev check-raised all in to force a fold.

Hand 2

One hand later, Lebedev raised to 6,500 again and picked up two callers in Manuchehr Ahadpur Khangah and Vladimir Troyanovskiy, both in the blinds. The {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop was checked to Lebedev and he bet 7,000. Only Khangah called and the {2-Spades} appeared on the turn. Khangah moved all in for his last 30,300 and Lebedev quickly called.

Khangah: {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Lebedev: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

Khangah was already drawing dead, making the {A-Hearts} a formality, and Lebedev scooped the second hand in a row.

Snap Shove for Thorel

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

From the hijack, Claas Segebrecht raised to 7,500 and all other players (Jean-Noel Thorel in the cutoff, Mustapha Kanit on the button, Timothy Adams in the small blind and Dominik Nitsche in the big blind) called. Jason Mercier, having folded under the gun, was the only player at the table not involved.

The flop came {Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and action checked to Segebrecht who bet 28,500. Just Thorel made the call, all other players folded.

Segebrecht fired another 72,300 on the {2-Diamonds} turn and again Thorel called. The river came the {3-Clubs} and Segebrecht checked. Thorel instantly shoved all in and Segebrecht folded just as quick.

Big Pot Between Steffen Sontheimer and Erik Seidel

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Akin Tuna opened to 6,000 from the cutoff and got two calls in Erik Seidel and Steffen Sontheimer. The flop came {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Sontheimer leads for 13,500 and both Tuna and Seidel call.

The turn was the {4-Spades} and Sontheimer bet again, this time for a whopping 72,000. Tuna folded but Seidel called.

The river was the {4-Diamonds} and Sontheimer bet just 53,000. Seidel took his time before pushing out a stack of green 25,000 value chips to raise to around 150,000. Sontheimer quickly folded.

Jannis Brauer Eliminated by Timothy Adams

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Timothy Adams raised to 6,000 from early position and Jannis Brauer three-bet to 15,000 from the button. The flop came {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Adams checked to Brauer who bet 13,000. Adams thought before dumping a huge stack of greens in front of him, putting his opponent all in. Brauer called.

Jannis Brauer: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Timothy Adams: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Brauer was ahead with his tens, but Adams had a flush draw. The {6-Spades} on the turn didn't help Adams, but the {j-Hearts} on the river certainly did, as he eliminated Brauer and boosted his already massive chipstack.
