Da Rocha Takes From Yankov

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Krasimir Yankov, Ricardo Da Rocha and Mohamed Mokrani all saw a flop of {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and it checked to Yankov. He bet 26,000 and Da Rocha was the only caller.

The turn {8-Hearts} was checked by both players and Da Rocha bet 35,000 on the {4-Clubs} river.

Yankov called and Da Rocha turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for a straight and Yankov mucked.

Bryan Paris

Bryan Paris three-bet jammed out of the big blind for 133,000 and picked up a quick call by initial raiser Tomas Paiva.

Paris was trailing with {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} versus {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and the {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{2-Hearts} board provided no help for the American pro.

Aleksandr Sheshukov and Sebastian Sorensson
Aleksandr Sheshukov and Sebastian Sorensson

Sebastian Sorensson had been able to double his short stack several times to stay afloat but the 2017 PokerStars Championship Barcelona Main Event champion would eventually run out of fortune.

Down to the last 68,000, he was all in against table neighbor Aleksandr Sheshukov and the following cards were tabled.

Sebastian Sorensson: {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Aleksandr Sheshukov: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Sorensson called for diamonds but the {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Spades} board let the kicker play as the eight was already counterfeited.

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy
Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy

Aleksandr Merzhvsinkiy raised to 110,000 from the cutoff and kept 15,000 behind. Action folded to Ricardo Da Rocha in the big blind who shoved with the bigger stack. As a pay jump was up, Merzhvinskiy tanked and asked for a count. The dealer initially hesitated in doing so but when the floor was called over, he complied. Da Rocha had 482,000 behind.

Merzhvinskiy tanked, displaying his five time bank cards in front of him. Over on another table, an all-in and call could be heard and by the time the fourth time bank card was used, Merzhvinskiy made the call.

Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Ricardo Da Rocha: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{a-Spades} for Merzhvinskiy to hit the river to stay alive and pick up the pay jump.
