Sebastian Sorensson had been able to double his short stack several times to stay afloat but the 2017 PokerStars Championship Barcelona Main Event champion would eventually run out of fortune.

Harry Ross raised from under the gun and was called by Hady El Asmar in the small blind and Pierre Calamusa in the big blind. El Asmar bet the flop for 20,000 and Neuville raised to 325,000, which covered both of his opponents. Ross eventually folded and El Asmar snap-called all in for around 220,000.

Pierre Calamusa:
The board completed with the turn and river, improving Calamusa to a flush.
"I had queen jack of spades," Ross said in table chat.

As a pay jump was up, Merzhvinskiy tanked and asked for a count. The dealer initially hesitated in doing so but when the floor was called over, he complied. Da Rocha had 482,000 behind.
Merzhvinskiy tanked, displaying his five time bank cards in front of him. Over on another table, an all-in and call could be heard and by the time the fourth time bank card was used, Merzhvinskiy made the call.

Ricardo Da Rocha:
The board ran out for Merzhvinskiy to hit the river to stay alive and pick up the pay jump.
