Loeliger Folds Out Duczak

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Paulina Loeliger
Paulina Loeliger

Aaron Duczak opened to 1,500 from early position and was called by Paulina Loeliger and Nikhil Persaud from the blinds.

Duczak continued for 2,300 on the {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop and only Loeliger called. The {q-Hearts} turn checked through to the {2-Diamonds} river and Loeliger led for 4,000.

Duczak mulled over his option before deciding to return his cards to the dealer.

Kobbelvedt Leaves Guilbert on Crumbs

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Johan Guilbert
Johan Guilbert

There was a massive pot brewing between Alexander Kobbeltvedt and Johan Guilbert on Table 3 with the board reading {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Kobbelvedt was all in on the turn for a little over 70,000 and Guilbert was in the tank for a couple of minutes.

Eventually, the clock was called and Guilbert was forced to make a decision. Guilbert called with the larger of the two stacks and Kobbelvedt was at risk with {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Luckily for him, the {6-Clubs} completed the board to give the Norwegian a straight who started shouting some Norwegian bullocks throughout the room.

After returning to his seat, Kobbelveldt had calmed down and had a pile of chips that needed to be stacked, whereas Guilbert was left with a minuscule 1,500 chips.

Putz Caught Speeding; Souki Busts

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Action was caught on the {q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop, with five players in the hand. The flop was checked through to the {10-Clubs} turn.

Konstantin Hammermueller and Axel Hallay checked from the big blind and under the gun respectively, before Christopher Putz bet 2,700 from early position. Robert Macsim called on Putz' direct left which prompted Mikael Guenni to fold on the button. Hammermueller and Hallay also got out of the way.

Putz then sized up to 6,500 on the {5-Clubs} river and was called.

"Ace-high," said Putz. Macsim rolled over his {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for a pair of queens and took down the pot.

Philippe Souki was also at the table at one stage in the day but his seat is now vacant, indicating his elimination.

Ensan Gets Called

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Hossein Ensan

Action was caught on the river, with the {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{k-Clubs}{8-Hearts} completed board on show. 2018 WSOP Main Event Champion Hossein Ensan bet 2,300 into a pot of 7,500 from the small blind.

Mammad Alakbarov called on the button and mucked when he saw Ensan had the {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, which was good for a pair of aces.

Opposite Ensan is 2022 WSOP Main Event Champion Espen Jorstad, who has about half a starting stack.

Chamas Finally Loses a Hand

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Rayan Chamas was one of the late entries after the first break of the day but wasted little time spinning up his starting stack of 30,000 chips. Chamas ran it all the way up to around 100,000 before a confrontation with Lucas Brassa.

The board read {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Brassa checked to Chamas who bet 2,200. Brassa check-raised to 7,500 and Chamas called to see the {k-Hearts} on the river. Brass moved all in for around 16,000 and Chamas quickly sent his cards to the muck.

Three players went to a flop of {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Jeffrey Hakim led out with a bet of 3,200. Bruno Fitoussi jammed all in for 17,400 and Hakim opted to call after some deliberation.

Bruno Fitoussi: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Jeffrey Hakim: {10-Spades}{9-Spades}

The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and Hakim spiked a straight to leave Fitoussi drawing dead to the {6-Hearts} on the river.

Reard and Leonard Do Battle

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Alexandre Reard and Patrick Leonard were heads-up in a three-bet pot with around 7,000 in the middle. The flop came {k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Reard check-called a ebt of 2,200 from Leonard.

The {6-Diamonds} paired the board on the turn and both players checked to the {9-Hearts} on the river. Reard flicked in a small bet of 2,000 but that was enough to force Leonard's cards to the muck.

Nakdali Calls Moorman's Bluff

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

A completed board of {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{9-Diamonds} was spread across the felt with Yaman Nakdali and Chris Moorman heads-up in a pot. With around 15,000 in the middle, Moorman had shoved all in for 10,500 on the button.

Yaman Nakdali was in the tank from the big blind and eventually splashed in a call. Moorman tabled {9-Spades}{8-Spades} but it was no good against the {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} of Nakdali, sending Moorman to the rail.
