Petrone Calls River Bet From Lefrancois

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Julian Thomas raised to 9,000 from middle position and Pascal Lefrancois called from the button before Ramiro Petrone came along from the small blind. The big blind got out of the way and action was three ways.

The flop was {q-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs} and all three players checked to see {6-Diamonds} on the turn. All three players checked again and the river was {5-Clubs}.

Petrone and Thomas checked before Lefrancois bet 18,000. Petrone used a time bank while he counted out chips and committed them to the pot. Thomas folded and the cards were turned up.

Lefrancois turned over {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for king-high, but Petrone tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} to take the pot with ace-high.

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Jan-Eric Schwippert
Jan-Eric Schwippert

Action was heads up between the blinds with 9,000 in the pot and {2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} on the board when Jan-Eric Schwippert bet 20,000 from the small blind and Sirzat Hissou called from the big blind. The turn was {5-Spades}.

Schwippert continued with 32,000 on the turn and Hissou used a time bank before he called. The river was {7-Clubs}.

Schwippert shoved the river and Hissou went deep into the tank. After using three time banks, he put out his remaining 92,500 to call. Schwippert turned over {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}, but Hissou had {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for three fives to secure a big double.

Chidwick Gets Cooked

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised to 6,000 on the button and Troy Quenneville just called from the big blind. The flop came {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Quenneville check-called a bet of 3,000 from Chidwick.

The {k-Spades} paired the board on the turn and both players checked to the {5-Clubs} on the river. Quenneville checked again and Chidwick made a large bet of 22,500, leaving himself with just over 10,000 behind. Quenneville eyed up his stack and then shoved all in, prompting a quick call from Chidwick.

Chidwick went to turn over his {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a full house but Quenneville showed {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} for a bigger full house, eliminating Chidwick from the tournament.
