Cabanas Doubles Up With River Suckout

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

With just 7,500 chips remaining, Antonio Cabanas open-shoved from under the gun. He was called in the hijack by Alexandre Renoux. All over players folded and it went to a showdown.

Antonio Cabanas: A8
Alexandre Renoux: AJ

The 654 flop added any seven to Cabanas' outs.

The Belgian has even more hope on the turn, with the 2 giving him a flush draw as well.

A club didn't come, but the 7 river did, completing Cabanas' straight and awarding him a much-needed double up.

'This is a good dealer,' he remarked, as he collected his chips.

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Nastasi checked and then folded to a bet of 26,000 from Arajs on a flop of 1029, allowing Arajs' stack to exceed double the tournament average.

Lacolas Tangles With Hasson Again

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ori Hasson and Lionel Lacolas are the two biggest stacks at their table but are proving they aren't afraid to battle with each other.

In their last hand, Lacolas bet 16,000 from under the gun on a flop of 666 and Hasson called on the button. Lacolas then bet another 26,000 on the J turn.

Hasson tanked for a moment before calling to see the 7 river. Lacolas instantly grabbed a tower of blue 5,000 chips and slammed it in the middle for a bet of 100,000.

Hasson again tanked but decided this time to give up his hand. Lacolas showed him JJ as he took the pot to climb past 300,000.

South Korean star Soo Jo Kim is also seated at this table.

Benelli Can't Believe His Luck

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

With the pot having already swelled to 68,000, two players were looking at a full board that read 81073K.

Andrea Benelli, in early position, checked the action to Anders Bisgaard in the cutoff. Bisgaard thought for some time before electing to check back.

"Queen high," Benelli announced as he turned over Q9. Much to the tables' surprise, Bisgaard mucked his cards. Queen high was good enough to take down this pot.

Chip and a Chair For Aguiararramos

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Anton Bergstrom was all in from middle position for his last 47,000 and up against Tiago Aguiararramos in the big blind.

Anton Bergstrom: KK
Tiago Aguiararramos: A10

Aguiararramos was left looking for an ace, but none came on the J29Q2 board. The stacks were counted down and he barely had Bergstrom covered, leaving him with three red 500 chips.

"I'll take it," he joked.

"I've been down to 2,000 twice this tournament," Bergstrom told him.

WSOP finalist Dean Hutchison is also seated at this table.

Small Double For Srenscik Barely Damages Scafini

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Lucas Scafini
Lucas Scafini

Julien Srenscik moved all in for 21,000 from early position and big stack Lucas Scafini called in the cutoff.

Julien Srenscik: A6
Lucas Scafini: AK

Srenscik was dominated but got some hope on the J3J flop with the nut flush draw as a collection of "oohs" arose from the table. The 6 turn didn't complete his flush, but it did give him two pair and the lead.

The flush came in on the 2 river and Srenscik doubled up. Despite the hit, Scafini is still sporting a massive stack.
