Niazi Forces a Fold from Spragg

Chan Truong opened to 24,000 from middle position and received calls from Ahmad Niazi on the button and Marle Spragg in the big blind.

On the 9♠8♣4♦ flop, Truong continued for 30,000 and Niazi called. In the big blind, Spragg opted to raise to 90,000 which earned a quick fold from Truong. However, Niazi responded with a back-jam as the covering stack for 350,000 effective, which left Spragg with a decision for her tournament life.

After over four minutes in the tank, she eventually decided to let it go.

The two players continued to discuss the hand for several minutes, with Spragg claiming to have folded a good nine while Niazi asserted that he had pocket queens.

Farah check-called a 60,000 bet from Benvenga on the Q♣5♥3♣ flop and a 65,000 bet from Benvenga on the 5♣ turn.

However, Farah led out for 125,000 after the Q♦ double-paired the board. Benvenga responded by raising to 350,000, which got a fold from Farah after a bit of thought to send the bloated pot Benvenga's way.
