Ivey's Super High Roller is Over

Level 10 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Phil Ivey jammed for 31,000 from the hijack with Thomas Muehloecker calling from the cutoff, and Jesse Lonis calling out of the big blind.

With Ivey all-in, Lonis and Muehloecker checked the J7Q flop to see the 9 roll off on the turn. Lonis bet 37,000, forcing Muehloecker out of the hand.

Phil Ivey: A2 All in
Jesse Lonis: QJ

Lonis had two pair against the flush draw of Ivey. The 6 river didn't help Ivey, and he wished everyone good luck as he made his way to the exit.

Thorel Collects the Last of Bujtas' Stack

Level 10 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Laszlo Bujtas had his last few big blinds in the pot and was put at risk by Jean-Noel Thorel.

Laszlo Bujtas: 96 All in
Jean-Noel Thorel: K10

Bujtas had live cards, but was drawing extremely thin after the 34K flop gave Thorel top pair. A J on the turn sealed the fate of Bujtas, with the meaningless K on the river improving Thorel to trips.

Sturm Doubles to Leave Ivey Short

Level 10 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Leon Sturm
Leon Sturm

In a three-bet pot with around 80,000 in the middle, Leon Sturm checked the 839 flop from the cutoff and Phil Ivey bet 20,000 on the button. Sturm then made it 51,000, Ivey shoved, and Sturm called off his stack of 219,000.

Leon Sturm: 98 All in
Phil Ivey: A3

Sturm had flopped top two, but needed to fade a lot of outs as Ivey had a pair and the nut flush draw. Luckily for Sturm, nothing changed on the 2K runout, and he doubled up, which left Ivey with just 31,000 in his stack.

Aleksejs Ponakovs

Aleksejs Ponakovs made it 12,000 under the gun with Santhosh Suvarna calling on the button and Jason Koon defending his big blind.

Koon checked the KJ6 flop, and Ponakovs put out a continuation-bet of 15,000. Suvarna called, but Koon folded.

Heads-up to the K turn that saw Ponakovs fire a second barrel of 37,000. Again, Suvarna continued in he form of a call.

The 7 dropped on the river, and Ponakovs gathered together a third barrel of 135,000. Suvarna deliberated for a while before eventually deciding to call.

Jorstad Doubles Through Vogelsang

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Espen Jorstad
Espen Jorstad

Nikita Kuznetsov raised to 12,000 under the gun before Steve O'Dwyer three-bet to 40,000 from middle position. Tom Vogelsang four-bet to 80,000 out of the cutoff, and then Espen Jorstad put in the rare cold five-bet jam for 159,000 out of the big blind. Kuznetsov and O'Dwyer instantly folded, but Vogelsang called to put Jorstad at risk.

Espen Jorstad: AK All in
Tom Vogelsang: QQ

Jorstad was the player at risk in the flip, although he took a commanding lead on the K37 flop as he improved to top pair. Vogelsang couldn't find a queen on the 6 turn or 9 river, and he had to send roughly half of his stack over to Jorstad.
