EPT Barcelona has long been a player favorite on the European Poker Tour, and it’s not just because of the poker.
Each year, the off-the-felt activity schedule delivers one of the best experiences on the calendar, and 2025 is no different.
PokerStars has once again loaded the itinerary with ways to unwind, connect with other players, and soak in the Barcelona sunshine. From chilled catamaran cruises to sweaty padel tournaments, from comedy nights to wine tasting, there’s something for everyone.
Players are now on a 20-minute break.
Aleksejs Ponakovs made it 17,000 from the hijack with Nick Petrangelo calling from the cutoff, and Jesse Lonis defending his big blind.
The K♠9♣9♦ flop revealed itself and Lonis started with a check. Ponakovs bet 15,000 that only Petrangelo called.
When Ponakovs fired a second barrel of 22,000 on the Q♥ turn, Petrangelo instantly folded, and Ponakovs was able to add some chips to his stack.
Tamas Adamszki has been eliminated from the tournament at another table, and now only 22 remain.
Espen Jorstad raised from middle position to 16,000 and Niklas Astedt shoved the button for 126,000. Punnat Punsri was in the big blind and called, which got Jorstad to fold.
Niklas Astedt: K♥K♦
Punnat Punsri: 9♠9♣
Astedt was well in the lead with his kings, but the 8♦9♦Q♦ flop gave Punsri a set of nines. There was still hope in the form of diamonds for Astedt, but none of them shone on the turn or the river as the 2♥4♠ runout meant he was eliminated.
Thomas Muehloecker made it 17,000 under the gun with Espen Jorstad calling from the cutoff, and Leon Sturm defending his big blind.
Two checks followed the 4♠Q♠8♥ flop, and Jorstad bet 16,000. Sturm called, but Muehloecker check-raised to 58,000. Jorstand was the only caller.
The 8♠ turn and 3♠ river checked through, and Muehloecker revealed Q♦10♥ for a pair of queens. Jorstad had that beat with K♥Q♣ for the better kicker, and the pot went his way.
At a nearby table, [Removed:548] was seen putting his coat on as he was eliminated from the tournament.
[Removed:607] had his stack of around 90,000 in from the small blind and Tom Vogelsang called from the big blind.
[Removed:607]: K♣10♦
Tom Vogelsang: A♦8♠
[Removed:608] didn't find a pair on the 6♥2♣J♥ flop, but the K♠ turn gave him the lead with a pair of kings. No ace arrived for Vogelsang on the [7c river, and [Removed:608] doubled up.
Danny Tang had his stack of around 120,000 in the middle from the hijack and was put at risk by Nick Petrangelo, who was in the big blind with a slightly bigger stack.
Danny Tang: Q♥Q♦
Nick Petrangelo: J♠J♦
Tang had a huge advantage, but that was wiped away as the J♥8♥A♣ flop improved Petrangelo to a set of jacks. No queens arrived to save Tang as the 2♦10♠ runout meant his day was ended early.
On another table, David Chen was also eliminated
Punnat Punsri opened to 16,000 on the button and Jason Koon three-bet to 50,000 out of the big blind. Punsri called.
A flop of 3♠8♠7♠ hit the table and Koon fired out a continuation-bet of 15,000, which Punsri called to see the 10♣ turn. This time, Koon decided to check it over, and then he called a bet of 35,000 from Punsri.
When the K♥ landed on the river, Koon compiled his chips into one stack of around 120,000 and moved all in. Punsri asked for the count, but called before he even received it.
Koon then flipped A♣K♣ for a rivered pair of kings, and Punsri tabled K♠Q♠ for a flush to scoop the pot.
