Mullur Gives it Up to Elamawy

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

There were already around 100,000 in the pot on a 2Q8 flop when Samuel Mullur checked from the small blind and called a bet of 25,000 from Sameh Elamawy, who was in the cutoff.

When the 7 hit the turn, Muller tapped the table once again and then he was faced with another bet as Elamawy bet 65,000. Mullur didn't need to think for too long before he let his cards go, and Elamawy added more chips to his stack.

Bujtas Begins His Spin Up

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

When the table folded around to Laszlo Bujtas in the small blind, he slammed in his last 25,000, and Biao Ding reluctantly called out of the big blind.

Bujtas needed to hold with ace-high to begin his spin up in the tournament. Bujtas ended with a pair of aces on the 5J9A9 runout, and moved up to around a fifth of the starting stack.

Elamawy Chips Up from the Blinds

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Samuel Mullur made it 12,000 to go from early position with David Chen calling out of the hijack and Sameh Elamawy defending his big blind.

The action checked over to Chen when the 644 came down and Chen bet 10,000. Elamawy called, while Mullur got out of the way.

Check-check came after the 7 turn for the K to drop on the river. Elamawy tossed out a bet of 35,000, which was enough to get Chen to fold.

Lonis Comes Out on Top in Three-Way All-In as Lee Eliminated

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Wai Kiat Lee
Wai Kiat Lee

Wai Kiat Lee shoved the cutoff for 85,000 and Jesse Lonis reshoved from the button for 144,000. Nick Petrangelo asked for both counts to be confirmed and then shipped his stack in from the small blind, which left two players at risk.

Wai Kiat Lee: KQ All in
Jesse Lonis: A7 All in
Nick Petrangelo: 99

Petrangelo had the chance to knock out two players at once, but that seemed unlikely after the 3Q7 flop gave Lee top pair. The pocket nines of Petrangelo started preflop as the best of the three hands, but he fell into last place when the A hit the turn, which gave Lonis two pair.

The 8 on the river changed nothing, which meant Lee hit the rail and Lonis almost tripled up.

Kenney Doubles Through Bujtas

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Laszlo Bujtas opened from early position to 15,000 and Bryn Kenney three-bet the hijack to 35,000. When it got back to Bujtas, he called.

On the flop of 7J8, Bujtas led for 20,000 and then called a raise of 62,000 from Kenney to see the 2 hit the turn. Bujtas checked, Kenney shoved 101,000, and Bujtas reluctantly called.

Laszlo Bujtas: J10

Kenney was in the lead and just needed to fade the outs of Bujtas, who needed to hit a ten or a nine. Instead, the 5 river rolled off, and Kenney doubled up.

Dream Turn Card for Roiter

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Klemens Roiter got his stack of 197,000 into the middle on the turn of a board showing 2668, and Santhosh Suvarna was the one trying to bust him.

Klemens Roiter: 88 All in
Santhosh Suvarna: JJ

The turn cards was a dream for Roiter as he improved to a full house, and only a jack on the river would end his tournament. It wasn't to be for Suvarna, as the 4 came down and he sent a large portion of his stack over to Roiter.

Vogelsang Starts Well

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Seth Davies opened the cutoff to 14,000 and Tom Vogelsang three-bet the big blind to 57,000. Davies called.

They saw a flop of A5A, where Vogelsang continued for 25,000 and Davies called to see the 5 hit the turn, which checked through.

When the 3 hit the river, Vogelsang bet 55,000, and that was enough to earn him the pot as Davies folded.

Camosci is the First Casualty of the Day

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Enrico Camosci
Enrico Camosci

With around 90,000 in the pot already, Nick Petrangelo and Enrico Camosci saw a flop of 5J3 come out. Petrangelo was first to act from the small blind and went for a bet of 36,000. Camosci jammed for 115,000, which Petrangelo instantly called.

Enrico Camosci: 66 All in
Nick Petrangelo: QQ

Petrangelo was way ahead with pocket queens, and Camosci needed a lot of help from the dealer to survive.

The remainder of the board ran out J9, keeping Petrangelo in the lead, and Camosci was the first casualty of Day 2.
