Thomas Eychenne made it 1,200,000 from the small blind and Sebastian Ionita defended his big blind.
The Q♣Q♦Q♥ flop checked through for the Q♠ to roll off on the turn. After another round of checks, the 2♠ revealed itself on the river. Eychenne gathered together a bet of 3,500,000, causing Ionita to go into the tank.
After taking roughly three minutes of deliberation, Ionita slammed in the call. Eychenne showed 5♥4♣ for quads with a five, and lost the pot to Ionita's K♦4♦ for quad queens with a king-kicker.
Eychenne moved down to fifteen million, while Ionita took the chip lead.
Thomas Eychenne raised to 700,000 under the gun and only Tomasz Brzezinski called from the big blind.
Brzezinski check-called a bet of 400,000 by Eychenne on the A♥J♠A♣ flop.
The 8♦ turn checked through for the 6♥ to complete the board. Brzezinski tossed out a bet of 900,000, which Eychenne quickly called. Brzezinski showed a busted straight draw with Q♣10♠ and lost the pot to Eychenne's J♣9♣ for a pair of jacks.
Sebastian Ionita limped in from the small blind before Umberto Zaffagnini raised to 750,000 in the big blind. Ionita called and they saw a flop of A♦10♦10♠.
Zaffagnini then bet 300,000 and Ionita called. Both players checked the 7♣ turn.
The river was the 5♥ and Ionita bet 1,800,000. Zaffagnini instantly tossed in a chip to signify a call, and Ionita showed A♣4♦ for two pair. Zaffagnini, though, turned over A♠8♠ and won the pot with his eight-kicker to move into the chip lead.
From under the gun, Thomas Eychenne made it 700,000 with 10♦9♣, and Sebastian Ionita three-bet to 1,700,000 from the cutoff holding A♦10♣. This was enough to get folds from the whole table, and Ionita took some chips from Eychenne.
A few hands later, Eychenne limped from the small blind and Ionita checked his option from the big blind.
The flop of A♠2♠K♠ checked through, as did the 2♣ turn. A board-pairing A♦ hit the river and Eychenne led out for 1,000,000, which Ionita tank-called.
Eychenne showed a bluff with Q♥9♥, and lost the pot to Ionita's K♣J♠ for a pair of kings.
First, Julian Pineda Lozano made it 500,000 from the cutoff with A♣6♥, and then folded after Tomasz Brzezinski three-bet the button to 1,350,000 with A♣K♣.
A couple of hands later, Thomas Eychenne opened 10♦8♦ from the cutoff, and Umberto Zaffagnini three-bet to 1,400,000 out of the small blind holding A♥9♠.
Both players checked the 7♣J♦8♣ flop to see the 10♥ roll off on the turn. Zaffagnini fired a bet of 1,200,000, which Eychenne called.
A 7♠ dropped on the river, and Zaffagnini fired almost a pot-sized bet of 4,000,000. Eychenne went deep into the tank and was visibly distressed by the spot he was in. After burning through around five of his time banks, Eychenne folded, and Zaffagnini was awarded the pot.
Anton Suarez raised to 500,000 on the button and Thomas Eychenne called in the big blind.
Both players checked the 10♥5♦3♠ flop. Suarez then bet 750,000 on the Q♥ turn and Eychenne called.
The river was the 5♣ and Suarez bet 2,500,000. Eychenne used a time bank before raising to 5,000,000, enough to put Suarez all in.
Suarez went into the tank and ended up burning through three time banks, eventually calling for his last 1,030,000. He showed A♥Q♣ for two pair, but Eychenne had rivered trips holding 5♥4♥ to win the pot and send Suarez to the rail in sixth place.
Thomas Eychenne raised to 550,000 in the cutoff and Julian Pineda Lozano called in the big blind.
The flop came A♦Q♠J♥ and Eychenne bet 350,000. Pineda Lozano called and both players checked the A♥ turn.
The river was the 7♠ and Pineda Lozano led out for 1,500,000. Eychenne picked up a few of his white 500,000 chips and shuffled them around in his hand for a few seconds before flicking one in to signify a call. Pineda Lozano showed 10♠9♥ for a missed straight, while Eychenne had Q♣J♣ for two pair to win the pot.
