Tobias Leknes Eliminated in 13th Place (€85,100)

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Tobias Leknes - Anton Suarez
Tobias Leknes - Anton Suarez

Tobias Leknes raised to 160,000 from the hijack before Anton Suarez three-bet to 500,000 from the cutoff. When it got back to Leknes, he chose to four-bet rip it for 4,735,000. Suarez got an exact count from the dealer, then made the call to put Leknes at risk.

Tobias Leknes: A4 All in
Anton Suarez: AK

Leknes had made a move with a suited ace, but had run into the big slick of Suarez.

The flop came down A97 to give both players top pair, with Leknes needing a four. The K turn left Leknes drawing dead to Suarez's two pair, as the 4 completed the board.

Leknes was out in 13th place and Suarez moved up to over 16,000,000.

Sergio Carro Marin
Sergio Carro Marin

Sergio Carro Marin made it 160,000 from the cutoff and only Tobias Leknes made the call from the button.

The dealer spread out a flop of 52K, and Marin continued with a bet of 125,000. Leknes stuck around with a call.

A 10 on the turn caused Marin to check the action over to Leknes, who threw out a bet of 300,000. Marin made the call.

The 7 river checked through and Marin revealed 77 to take down the pot, as Leknes mucked A10 for a pair of tens.

Eychenne Sniffs Out Webber's Overbet Bluff

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Thomas Eychenne
Thomas Eychenne

From under the gun, Thomas Eychenne raised to 120,000 and only Joao Webber called out of the big blind.

Webber and Eychenne checked the 7105 flop to see the 10 drop on the turn. Webber led out for 350,000, and Eychenne continued with a call.

A 7 river saw Webber overbet for 1,200,000. Eychenne tanked for quite some time and was visibly distressed by the spot he was in. In the end, Eychenne chose to call.

Webber showed a bluff with Q8, and Eychenne took down the pot with 99 for just a pair of nines (two pair with the tens on the board).

Marc Foggin opened to 135,000 in the hijack and Julian Pineda Lozano called in the small blind before Lauri Saaskilahti three-bet to 1,000,000 in the big blind. Foggin four-bet jammed and Lozano folded before Saaskilahti called for the rest of his stack.

Lauri Saaskilahti: A5 All in
Marc Foggin: AK

Saaskilahti was dominated and couldn't pull ahead as the board ran out 6A883 to mark his elimination in 14th place.

Hugo Gotuzzo Eliminated in 15th Place (€70,900)

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Hugo Gotuzzo
Hugo Gotuzzo

Hugo Gotuzzo open-jammed a stack of around 900,000 in middle position and Julian Pineda Lozano re-shoved a bigger stack in the small blind to get things heads-up.

Hugo Gotuzzo: QQ All in
Julian Pineda Lozano: 77

Lozano was the first one who showed and Gotuzzo skipped a beat and let out a sigh before turning over queens to reveal he was far ahead. But it was short-lived as the flop landed 9108 to give both players straight draws and the 6 turn gave Lozano the straight before the blank 6 river confirmed Gotuzzo's elimination in 15th place.

Foggin Bets Big on the River

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Marc Foggin
Marc Foggin

Youssef Zereg raised to 135,000 in early position, Marc Foggin three-bet to 375,000 in the hijack, and Zereg called.

The flop came K84 and Foggin continued for 225,000. Zereg called and the K fell on the turn.

Foggin then bet 425,000 and Zereg again called. The 8 came on the river and Foggin spent a few moments shuffling around his chips before pushing forward 1,200,000.

Zereg went deep into the tank as a large crowd, including many of the players at the main feature table, gathered around. Zereg ended up burning four time banks before tossing his cards into the muck.

Alexandros Michas Eliminated in 16th Place (€61,000)

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Alexandros Michas
Alexandros Michas

Tomasz Brzezinski raised to 120,000 from the hijack before Alexandros Michas three-bet to 350,000 from the button. When it folded back to Brzezinski, he four-bet jammed, covering Michas. Michas called for his stack of 2,135,000 total and the cards were flipped over.

Alexandros Michas: JJ All in
Tomasz Brzezinski: AQ

It was a huge flip for both players, as Michas needed to win it to remain in the tournament, and Brzezinski had to win it or he would be left with under ten big blinds.

Brzezinski took a commanding lead on the 77Q flop by improving to a pair of queens. The K turn meant Michas needed one of the two remaining jacks on the river to survive. An A completed the board, and Michas was out in 16th place.

Anton Suarez

From under the gun, Sergio Carro Marin raised to 125,000 with A4 and only Anton Suarez called holding 22 from the hijack.

Marin started with a check on the J3A flop, and Suarez took the betting lead by firing out 130,000. Marin called.

The 3 hit the turn and Marin check-called a second bet from Suarez, this time 325,000.

A 10 rolled of on the river and Marin checked again. Suarez put together a third and final barrel of 800,000, which was enough to get Marin to lay his hand down.

Alejandro Romero raised to 100,000 under the gun before Anton Suarez three-bet to 275,000 in the cutoff. Romero then four-bet to 650,000 and Suarez called.

The flop came 522 and Romero bet 350,000. Suarez then raised to 700,000, Romero moved all in for 1,355,000, and Suarez called.

Alejandro Romero: AK All in
Anton Suarez: JJ

Suarez was ahead with his two pair, and the Q turn and 9 river were no help to Romero who was eliminated.

At the same time at the other outer table, Sebastian Ionita had opened to 100,000 in the hijack and Martin Nielsen shoved for 840,000 in the cutoff. The table folded back to Ionita who called to put Nielsen at risk.

Martin Nielsen: AJ All in
Sebastian Ionita: 88

"Jack of justice," Nielsen called out heading to the flop, which came 21010. The 9 turn kept Ionita in the lead, while the river was the 5 to seal Nielsen's bustout.

Romero and Nielsen split 18th and 17th place, each taking €57,025.

Foggin Survives Elimination

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Marc Foggin
Marc Foggin

Julian Pineda Lozano raised to 100,000 from the cutoff before Marc Foggin jammed for 1,330,000 out of the small blind. Once the big blind folded, Lozano put in the call to try and bust Foggin.

Marc Foggin: A10 All in
Julian Pineda Lozano: AQ

Lozano had the better ace and Foggin looked likely to be the next casualty of the Main Event.

However, the flop of 103K gave Foggin a pair to put him in the lead, although Lozano had a lot of outs with two cards to come. The 3 on the turn was safe for Foggin, and the 10 river may have improved Lozano to a flush, but Foggin was upgraded to a boat.
