Marin Triple Barrels to Get Gotuzzo to Fold

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Sergio Carro Marin
Sergio Carro Marin

Sergio Carro Marin made it 100,000 from the button with 108 and only Hugo Gotuzzo defended from the big blind holding 66.

Gotuzzo checked after the dealer spread out the Q99 flop, and Marin placed out a continuation-bet of 50,000. Gotuzzo called.

A 3 rolled off on the turn, causing Gotuzzo to check again. Marin tossed out a second barrel of 135,000. Gotuzzo paused momentarily, then made the call.

The K completed the board, prompting one last check from Gotuzzo. Marin took a few moments, then jammed, covering Gotuzzo. Gotuzzo had 850,000 remaining in his stack, and after a long tank, reluctantly folded his cards.

Leknes Plays the Hero on the River

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Tobias Leknes
Tobias Leknes

Yohan Rascar raised to 100,000 under the gun and both Tobias Leknes and Anton Suarez came along from the blinds.

All three players checked the 28K flop. Suarez then bet 275,000 on the 9 turn and Rascar called. Leknes, though, put in a raise to 900,000.

Suarez folded, but Rascar called to see the 3 river. Leknes checked to Rascar, who bet 800,000. Leknes tanked for a minute before calling.

"You're good," Rascar said, showing A4 for a missed flush draw. Leknes turned over 87 for third pair as he took down the massive pot.

Hiroki Karatsu: 66 All in
Joao Webber: AA

Karatsu needed to find a six to stay alive, but none were in sight on the 3K9710 runout, which meant he was out in 19th.

Leo Worthington-Leese Eliminated in 20th Place (€53,050)

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Leo Worthington-Leese
Leo Worthington-Leese

Leo Worthington-Leese opened to 100,000 in the hijack and Cesar Garcia three-bet to 275,000 in the cutoff. Worthington-Leese four-bet jammed for around 2,000,000 and Garcia called with more.

Leo Worthington-Leese: 1010 All in
Cesar Garcia: KK

The flop landed K26 to give Garcia a set and Worthington-Leese was out of his seat before the runout of 78 confirmed his elimination in 20th place.

Garcia got a little greedy and began moving Worthington-Leese's stack in front of him before he was told to let the dealer do it.

Jimmy Kebe Eliminated in 21st Place (€46,100)

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Jimmy Kebe
Jimmy Kebe

Joao Webber opened the hijack to 100,000 and Jimmy Kebe shoved for 930,000 from the cutoff. Once the action got back to Webber, he confirmed the count and then flicked in the call.

Jimmy Kebe: AQ All in
Joao Webber: 88

Kebe needed to win the flip to stay alive, but an 8 in the window wasn't good news, especially when it was followed by 102. Only running cards could save Kebe, but the 2 turn left him drawing dead as Webber made a full house.

A Q did fall on the river just to rub a little salt in the wound of Kebe, then he made his way to the exit in 21st.

Kevin Houghton Eliminated in 22nd Place (€46,100)

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Kevin Houghton
Kevin Houghton

Kevin Houghton made it 125,000 under the gun before Sergio Carro Marin three-bet to 300,000 out of the hijack. Once it folded back to Houghton, he called to see a flop.

The dealer produced a monotone flop of J24, which Houghton checked. Marin checked behind and the 9 rolled off on the turn. Houghton led out for 250,000 and Marin called.

The 9 completed the board and after using a time bank card, Houghton jammed for 545,000. Marin snap-called and was shown AJ by Houghton for a pair of jacks. Marin had that beat with A9 for the flopped nut flush, and Houghton was out in 22nd place.

Brzezinski Wins a Healthy Pot from Marin

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Tomasz Brzezinski
Tomasz Brzezinski

Sergio Carro Marin raised under the gun to 100,000 and Tomasz Brzezinski three-bet out of the hijack to 250,000. When it folded back to Marin, he continued with a call.

A flop of 449 came down and Marin check-called a bet of 160,000 from Brzezinski.

Another check came from Marin on the J turn, allowing Brzezinski to fire a second barrel of 420,000. Once again, Marin continued with a call.

An A dropped on the river and both players checked. Marin showed a missed draw with K10, and lost the pot to Brzezinski's A10 for a pair of aces.

Rifat Palevic Eliminated in 23rd Place (€46,100)

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Rifat Palevic
Rifat Palevic

Yohan Rascar just put a brutal, brutal beat on Rifat Palevic to thin down the field.

Rascar opened from the hijack to 100,000 and Palevic three-bet the button to 260,000. When it got back to Rascar, he called.

They saw a flop of 964 and after Rascar checked, Palevic bet 300,000. Rascar called to see the Q turn, where he checked it over to Palevic, who bet 700,000. Rascar took a peek at the stack of Palevic and seeing he had 1,000,000 behind, he shoved. Palevic snap-called.

Rifat Palevic: AA All in
Yohan Rascar: 108

Palevic was well ahead with his aces and in prime position to double up. Rascar's semi bluff had one chance to earn a return on the hand, and he maximized his profit as the J smacked the river to give him a straight, which ended Palevic's run in 23rd.

Youssef Zereg
Youssef Zereg

Youssef Zereg raised to 125,000 under the gun and only Hugo Gotuzzo called in middle position.

The flop came J64 and Zereg, impeccably dressed in a sharp black fedora, continued for 80,000. Gotuzzo called and the 9 fell on the turn.

Zereg then bet 250,000 and Gotuzzo called once more. The river was the 10 and Zereg bet 375,000.

Gotuzzo used a time bank before calling, and Zereg turned over KK to win the pot.

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Matthew McEwan
Matthew McEwan

Matthew McEwan raised to 100,000 from the hijack before Thomas Eychenne three-bet to 225,000 from the button. When it got back to McEwan, he four-bet jammed for 950,000, and Eychenne snap-called to put him at risk.

Matthew McEwan: AK All in
Thomas Eychenne: AA

McEwan was on the wrong end of a cooler and needed a lot of help from the dealer, or he would be out of the Main Event.

The dealer put down a flop of JJ5, keeping Eychenne's aces in the lead. McEwan couldn't pick up any backdoor draws on the 2 turn, which left him drawing dead. A Q river completed the board and McEwan headed to the rail in 24th place.
