Thomas Eychenne raised to 150,000 from the small blind and Kevin Houghton defended his big blind.

After seeing the 7♦J♦A♣ flop, Eychenne fired a continuation-bet of 100,000, and Houghton called.

A 10♦ turn got checked through to see the 6♣ roll off on the river. Another two checks followed and Eychenne turned over the winner with 10♥3♣ for a pair of tens. Houghton mucked 8♦8♣ and the pot went over to Eychenne.

Yohan Rascar just put a brutal, brutal beat on Rifat Palevic to thin down the field.

Rascar opened from the hijack to 100,000 and Palevic three-bet the button to 260,000. When it got back to Rascar, he called.

They saw a flop of 9♥6♣4♣ and after Rascar checked, Palevic bet 300,000. Rascar called to see the Q♦ turn, where he checked it over to Palevic, who bet 700,000. Rascar took a peek at the stack of Palevic and seeing he had 1,000,000 behind, he shoved. Palevic snap-called.

Palevic was well ahead with his aces and in prime position to double up. Rascar's semi bluff had one chance to earn a return on the hand, and he maximized his profit as the J♣ smacked the river to give him a straight, which ended Palevic's run in 23rd.

Youssef Zereg raised to 125,000 under the gun and only Hugo Gotuzzo called in middle position.

The flop came J♦6♠4♣ and Zereg, impeccably dressed in a sharp black fedora, continued for 80,000. Gotuzzo called and the 9♣ fell on the turn.

Zereg then bet 250,000 and Gotuzzo called once more. The river was the 10♥ and Zereg bet 375,000.

Gotuzzo used a time bank before calling, and Zereg turned over K♦K♠ to win the pot.

Anton Suarez raised to 100,000 from the cutoff and Rifat Palevic defended his big blind.

On the flop of 6♦5♣6♣, Palevic check-called a bet of 100,000 from Suarez to see the K♠ drop on the turn. Palevic tapped the table once more and Suarez splashed 285,000 into the pot. Palevic called.

When the 4♠ hit the river, both players decided to check it down and Palevic showed A♦Q♦ for ace-high. That was no good as the 9♥9♦ of Suarez was good with a pair of nines.

Foggin knuckled the action over to Houghton on the 7♦7♠3♠ flop, and Houghton continued with a bet of 150,000. Foggin let go of his queen-high, and the pot was awarded to Houghton.

Saaskilahti led out for 300,000 on the 3♣ turn and Zereg quickly called. Saaskilahti showed A♣J♠ for ace-high, which was no good against the pair of queens of his opponent with Q♣Q♥.

Matthew McEwan raised to 100,000 from the hijack before Thomas Eychenne three-bet to 225,000 from the button. When it got back to McEwan, he four-bet jammed for 950,000, and Eychenne snap-called to put him at risk.

McEwan was on the wrong end of a cooler and needed a lot of help from the dealer, or he would be out of the Main Event.

The dealer put down a flop of J♠J♥5♥, keeping Eychenne's aces in the lead. McEwan couldn't pick up any backdoor draws on the 2♦ turn, which left him drawing dead. A Q♣ river completed the board and McEwan headed to the rail in 24th place.
