Prendergast Bluffs Into Crowley

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Conal Prendergast and Ken Crowley were heads up on a flop of K75. Crowley checked from early position, after which Prendergast fired a bet of 2,500. Crowley called and did so too when Prendergast bet 6,500 on the Q turn.

The K river then completed the board and another checked followed from Crowley. Prendergast sized up to 16,000, which put Crowley into a short tank.

Eventually, he tossed in a calling chip, after which Prendergast showed A10 for the bluff. Crowley played K10 for trip kings, and he raked in the pot, leaving Prendergast with a stack of 40 big blinds.

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Juan Diaz-Caneja
Juan Diaz-Caneja

Gordon Ainsworth raised to 900 from under the gun before Jonas Olali three-bet to 2,600 from the cutoff. Juan Diaz-Caneja then put in a four-bet to 6,000, and both Ainsworth and Olali came along with calls.

The flop was dealt Q84, and the action checked to Olali, who made a bet of 8,500. Diaz-Caneja called before Ainsworth got out of the way.

On the 10 turn, Diaz-Caneja checked again, and faced a bet of 12,000 from Olali this time. After a few minutes Diaz-Caneja shoved all in for 35,000. Olali asked for a count but folded soon after he received the correct number, awarding the big pot to Diaz-Caneja.

Ziermann Snap Calls Big Bluff

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Rainer Ziermann
Rainer Ziermann

Kevin Flanagan and Rainer Ziermann were heads up on a board of 2777. Flanagan bet 6,500 in the already big pot of 11,500 chips, and Ziermann obliged with a quick call.

The 10 river completed the board and Flanagan threw in a single T-25,000 chips for a bet of the same amount. Ziermann confirmed the amount and tossed in a chip of the same denomination for the call.

Flanagan just showed his A to signify his ace-high kicker, but Ziermann had that beat with 66 for a full house.

Parsons and Monaghan Join 1c

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Simon Keating limped in as first to act, after which Paddy Power Poker Pro Tom Parsons made it 1,200 to go from the next seat over. The action folded back to Keating, who put in the call.

A flop of K3J was spread, and Keating checked to Parsons. The latter then bet 1,000, which Keating check-raised to 3,600. An instantaneous fold followed from Parsons as he surrendered the pot.

Irish Poker Tour Ambassador Paul Monaghan was also spotted at this table, sitting on a starting stack of 50,000 chips.

Long Gets Large Value

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Arriving on a turn of 3K103, Derek Long made a bet of 4,200 from middle position into the pot of 8,500. His opponent was Roland Boothby on the button, who made the call.

The 2 river then rolled off and Long did not let up as he bet 10,000 chips. A swift call followed from Boothby, but he could only compliment his opponent and muck his cards once he saw 1010 being tabled for a full house.

Allen Plays the Hero

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Dermot Allen
Dermot Allen

Denis Brosnahan raised to 700 from under the gun and Dermot Allen called from the next seat over. Liam McVeigh then put in a three-bet to 2,400 as next to act, and the action folded back to Brosnahan.

He put in calling chips, and Allen came along as well to see a flop of J5K, which got checked around. The action checked to McVeigh once more on the 4 turn, but this time he fired a bet of 3,200. Brosnahan quickly got out of the way, but Allen stuck around with a call.

The J river completed the board and Allen checked for a third time. McVeigh put 5,500 more into the middle, which put Allen into the tank. Eventually, he came up with a call.

McVeigh sighed as he tabled his A3 for nothing but missed draws, after which Allen showed down 1010. His pocket pair was good enough to rake in the pot, which he did while receiving some compliments from the other players.
