Reid Gets There on the Turn Against Mamut

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Jeff Platt was standing on the rail cheering on Terrance Reid and giving out three claps every time Reid took down the pot with a preflop raise.

"Go talk strategy with him," Jon Kyte told Reid.

"You should be offended that he's urging me to get coaching from you," Reid said to Platt.

Jim Collopy then opened to 175,000 on the button and Kyte called in the big blind.

The flop came J85 and Collopy continued for 155,000. Kyte called to see the 5 turn, then folded to another bet of 275,000 from Collopy.

The next hand, Nikolai Mamut raised to 160,000 in the hijack and Kyte and Reid called in the blinds.

Mamut bet 140,000 on the 998 flop and both opponents called. The turn was the J and Mamut bet 330,000. Only Reid called this time.

The Q river was checked down, and Reid showed 107 for a straight to win the pot.

Tang Asks for It All

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The action folded around to Yifan Tang in the small blind who made it 240,000 to go. Marc Foggin called from the big blind and they were off to a flop of 1075.

Tang wasted no time at all and asked for it all as he announced all in for 1,495,000. Foggin asked for a count and realized that it was his stack that was potentially at risk. Foggins thought for over a minute but opted to dispose of his cards.

Kyte Wants a Three-Bet

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Terrance Reid raised to 120,000 in the cutoff, Toby Lewis three-bet to 300,000 on the button, and Reid called.

The flop came AJ3 and Lewis continued for 150,000. Reid folded and Lewis took the pot.

Marc Foggin and Nikolai Mamut then checked to the turn in a limped pot between the blinds and the board showing 56A5. Mamut bet 120,000, and Foggin called. The 5 river was checked down, and Foggin showed K10 to win the pot with king-high.

The next hand, Jon Kyte opened to 120,000 in early position but received no callers. "Why didn't you three-bet?" he asked Reid, turning over AK.

Yifan Tang then opened to 120,000 in the hijack and was called by Mamut on the button and big blind Andrew Kang.

Tang continued for 260,000 on the 46Q flop and only Kang called. The 8 turn was checked through, while they also checked down the 3 river and Kang showed 99 to win the pot.

Jon Kyte
Jon Kyte

Andrew Kang opened to 130,000 in the cutoff and Jon Kyte just called on the button. Terrance Reid tried to use his big stack as a bully and ripped all in from the small blind. Kang quickly folded but Kyte wasted little time before making the call for his stack of 2,010,000.

Jon Kyte: AQAll in
Terrance Reid: A10

Kyte held the dominating hand and the flop of 762 left it that way. Reid pleaded for a chop on the 7 turn but the K on the river ensured Kyte of a double up.

Mamut Gets a Full Double from Kyte

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Jon Kyte opened to 120,000 in early position and Nikolai Mamut defended from the big blind. The flop fell 642 and Mamut check-called a bet of 180,000 from Kyte.

The turn was the 3 and Mamut check-called another barrel of 325,000 from Kyte. The K landed on the river and Mamut checked for the third time. Kyte counted out a bet of 900,000, which was exactly what Mamut had in front of him. Mamut counted his own stack to be sure, and then called it off.

Kyte rolled over A3 for just a pair of threes and Mamut tabled 55 for a straight to get a full double up.
